Instruction based testbench architecture
Fifth International Workshop on System-on-Chip for Real-Time Applications (IWSOC'05), 2005This paper presents the synthesizable testbench architecture based on the defined instruction for standalone mode verification. The proposed testbench performs fast emulation with low resource and increases flexibility and reusability with variable description of instructions.

Instruction-based communications
1997This papers explores a mode of communication that is based on instruction rather than interpretation. Starting from Shannon's (interpretative) communication model, I link instruction-based communications to mobile code (messengers), to “signs” as they are defined in semiotics, and to the virus theme commonly found in cell biology, computer science and ...

Often in school, at university, or in further education abstract concepts and principles are taught without providing the opportunity to elaborate on how to apply this abstract knowledge. For example, in university lectures, principles of scientific argumentation are explained without the opportunity to learn how to apply them. In such cases, often

There is a preponderance of evidence that feedback is a powerful influence in the development of learning outcomes. Two findings from the many meta-analyses relating to the effects of feedback are most fascinating-the average effects of feedback are among the highest we know in education, and feedback effects are among the most variable in their ...

Instruction based power consumption estimation methodology
9th International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems, 2003The paper presents a new model of the dynamic power dissipated by a circuit described at gate or behavioural level. A procedure is presented for an accurate estimate of the power dissipated during the execution of each instruction by using gate level or behavioural level digital simulations.

Instruction-Based Timing Analysis in Pipelined Processors
2019 4th South-East Europe Design Automation, Computer Engineering, Computer Networks and Social Media Conference (SEEDA-CECNSM), 2019Traditional timing analysis techniques for microprocessor design are based on the static analysis approach, in which clock frequency is set in accord with the worst-case delay in the processor circuit operation, regardless of the possible circuit inputs. Dynamic analysis approaches are calculating delays using varying circuit inputs, but are in general

A first glance at Kilo-instruction based multiprocessors
Proceedings of the 1st conference on Computing frontiers, 2004The ever increasing gap between processor and memory speed, sometimes referred to as the Memory Wall problem [42], has a very negative impact on performance. This mismatch will be more severe in future processor's generation. Modern cache organizations and prefetching techniques will not be able to solve this problem.

Incorporating Instruction-Based Sampling into AMD CodeAnalyst
2010 IEEE International Symposium on Performance Analysis of Systems & Software (ISPASS), 2010Software developers need objective, accurate information about program behavior to improve application performance. Program profiles are useful aids in performance analysis and tuning. A profile is a histogram-like chart that associates execution time or hardware-level events with specific instruction addresses or lines of source code.

Instruction Based on Self-Explanation
2015INTRODUCTION Over twenty years of research has documented the fact that explaining a concept aloud to oneself enhances learning and aids in comprehension monitoring. How powerful is this technique and to what extent is it superior to many other, more commonly employed learning strategies?

Instructions-Based Semantics of Agent Mediated Interaction
International Joint Conference on Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems, 2004In environment-based coordination scenarios, indirect forms of interaction have often been considered as an interesting alternative to direct communication based on speech acts, yet with no comparable formal study of semantics. In this paper, we explore this new direction by considering the case where agents interact with each other through ...
