Just Instruments for Adaptation Finance

open access: yesAnalyse & Kritik, 2018
Abstract The paper discusses Baatz’s work (2018) published in a recent issue of this journal. It first considers the proposed framework of justice within which to evaluate instruments for adaptation finance; it then develops the framework’s criteria of fairness and feasibility further; finally, it proposes an option for increasing the

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

An adaptive cost system for parallel program instrumentation [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
We present a new data collection cost system that provides programmers with feedback about the impact data collection is having on their application. We allow programmers to define the level of perturbation their application can tolerate and then we regulate the amount of instrumentation to ensure that threshold is not exceeded.

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

A NEW INSTRUMENT FOR THE CLINICAL MEASUREMENT OF DARK ADAPTATION [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the American Medical Association, 1916
The measurement of the dark adaptation of the eye has usually been confined to laboratory observers because of the time such an examination requires and because of the complexity of the instruments used. Consequently, valuable clinical information has frequently been over-looked.
