MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 20, Issue 11, Page 2839-2859, November 2026.
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

Age‐linked biological context shapes adaptive immunity in Alzheimer's disease

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 22, Issue 11, November 2026.
Abstract Alzheimer's disease (AD) is increasingly recognized as a neuroimmune disorder with protective or pathogenic adaptive immunity dependent on the biological context. This review synthesizes evidence from human studies, genetic analyses, mouse models, and clinical trials to examine how lymphocytes and humoral immunity influence AD.

New therapeutic options for metabolic‐associated steatotic liver disease

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, Volume 92, Issue 11, Page 3770-3777, November 2026.
An increasing number of patients are being diagnosed with metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). MASLD results from disturbances in hepatic lipid metabolism and is associated with an increased risk of cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma and significant extrahepatic morbidity, including cardiovascular disease and ...

Inflammatory and Insulin Resistance Indicator for Predicting Repeat Revascularization and In‐Stent Restenosis in Patients With Chronic Coronary Syndrome Undergoing Percutaneous Coronary Intervention

open access: yesClinical Cardiology, Volume 49, Issue 11, November 2026.
In patients with chronic coronary syndrome undergoing PCI, higher baseline CTI was independently associated with repeat revascularization and in‐stent restenosis. However, its incremental predictive value beyond conventional risk factors was limited, highlighting the need for further validation.

Remission of diabetes mellitus induced by prednisolone in combination with cyclosporine toxicity in a cat

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science
A 6‐year‐old spayed female domestic short‐hair cat was presented for primary complaints of anorexia and lethargy. The cat was being treated with cyclosporine (25 mg/cat, PO q24h) and prednisolone (1 mg/kg, PO q12h) for feline hypersensitivity dermatitis ...

Management of advanced mycosis fungoides and Sézary Syndrome: International Recommendations for systemic treatments and allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation from the European Hematology Association, the EORTC Cutaneous Lymphoma Tumours Group, the International Society for Cutaneous Lymphoma, and the Lymphoma Working Party of the EBMT

open access: yesHemaSphere, Volume 10, Issue 11, November 2026.
Abstract Advanced mycosis fungoides (MF) and Sézary syndrome (SS) are the most aggressive forms of cutaneous T‐cell lymphoma and remain associated with a poor prognosis and heterogeneous therapeutic approaches. Recent advances, including targeted therapies and improved transplant strategies, have substantially expanded treatment options, highlighting ...

Phase 1 Study of Safety and PK With A Combination of Omeprazole and Trimetazidine for Fatty Acid Oxidation Inhibition in Patients With Advanced Solid Tumors

open access: yesClinical and Translational Science, Volume 19, Issue 11, November 2026.
ABSTRACT Fatty acid oxidation (FAO) is a metabolic vulnerability in cancer cells, making pharmacologic FAO inhibition a promising therapeutic strategy. This Phase I, open‐label, 3 + 3 dose‐escalation study evaluated the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and preliminary antitumor activity of two oral FAO inhibitors—omeprazole (KN510), a carnitine ...
