Study of quasi-integrable and non-holonomic deformation of equations in the NLS and DNLS hierarchy

open access: yes, 2017
The hierarchy of equations belonging to two different but related integrable systems, the Nonlinear Schr\"odinger and its derivative variant, DNLS are subjected to two distinct deformation procedures, viz.

Clustering Algorithm Reveals Dopamine‐Motor Mismatch in Cognitively Preserved Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To explore the relationship between dopaminergic denervation and motor impairment in two de novo Parkinson's disease (PD) cohorts. Methods n = 249 PD patients from Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI) and n = 84 from an external clinical cohort.

The Fractional Quadratic-Form Identity and Hamiltonian Structure of an Integrable Coupling of the Fractional Broer-Kaup Hierarchy

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2013
A fractional quadratic-form identity is derived from a general isospectral problem of fractional order, which is devoted to constructing the Hamiltonian structure of an integrable coupling of the fractional BK hierarchy.

The model equation of soliton theory

open access: yes, 2007
We consider an hierarchy of integrable 1+2-dimensional equations related to Lie algebra of the vector fields on the line. The solutions in quadratures are constructed depending on $n$ arbitrary functions of one argument.

Diffusion Spectrum Imaging Maps Early Axonal Loss and a Unique Progressive Signal in Neuronal Intranuclear Inclusion Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To delineate specific in vivo white matter pathology in neuronal intranuclear inclusion disease (NIID) using diffusion spectrum imaging (DSI) and define its clinical relevance. Methods DSI was performed on 42 NIID patients and 38 matched controls.

Symplectic deformations of integrable field theories and AdS/CFT

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2014
Relativistic integrable field theories like the sine-Gordon equation have an infinite set of conserved charges. In a light-front formalism these conserved charges are closely related to the integrable modified KdV hierarchy at the classical level.

Supersymmetry Flows, Semi-Symmetric Space Sine-Gordon Models And The Pohlmeyer Reduction

open access: yes, 2011
We study the extended supersymmetric integrable hierarchy underlying the Pohlmeyer reduction of superstring sigma models on semi-symmetric superspaces F/G.

Value of MRI Outcomes for Preventive and Early‐Stage Trials in Spinocerebellar Ataxias 1 and 3

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To examine the value of MRI outcomes as endpoints for preventive and early‐stage trials of two polyglutamine spinocerebellar ataxias (SCAs). Methods A cohort of 100 participants (23 SCA1, 63 SCA3, median Scale for the Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA) score = 5, 42% preataxic, and 14 gene‐negative controls) was scanned at 3T up ...

Associativity equations in dispersionless integrable hierarchies

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2001
We discuss the origin of the associativity (WDVV) equations in the context of quasiclassical or Whitham hierarchies. The associativity equations are shown to be encoded in the dispersionless limit of the Hirota equations for KP and Toda hierarchies. We show, therefore, that any tau-function of dispersionless KP or Toda hierarchy provides a solution to ...

"Doubled" generalized Landau-Lifshiz hierarchies and special quasigraded Lie algebras

open access: yes, 2004
Using special quasigraded Lie algebras we obtain new hierarchies of integrable nonlinear vector equations admitting zero-curvature representations. Among them the most interesting is extension of the generalized Landau-Lifshitz hierarchy which we call ...
