Meta‐analysis fails to show any correlation between protein abundance and ubiquitination changes

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We analyzed over 50 published proteomics datasets to explore the relationship between protein levels and ubiquitination changes across multiple experimental conditions and biological systems. Although ubiquitination is often associated with protein degradation, our analysis shows that changes in ubiquitination do not globally correlate with changes in ...

Two Expanding Integrable Models of the Geng-Cao Hierarchy

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
As far as linear integrable couplings are concerned, one has obtained some rich and interesting results. In the paper, we will deduce two kinds of expanding integrable models of the Geng-Cao (GC) hierarchy by constructing different 6-dimensional Lie ...

Discretisations of constrained KP hierarchies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We present a discrete analogue of the so-called symmetry reduced or `constrained' KP hierarchy. As a result we obtain integrable discretisations, in both space and time, of some well-known continuous integrable systems such as the nonlinear Schroedinger ...

Integrable Structure of Interface Dynamics

open access: yes, 2000
We establish the equivalence of a 2D contour dynamics to the dispersionless limit of the integrable Toda hierarchy constrained by a string equation. Remarkably, the same hierarchy underlies 2D quantum gravity.Comment: 5 pages, no figures, submitted to ...

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

$\mathcal D$-bundles and integrable hierarchies

open access: yesJournal of the European Mathematical Society, 2011
We study the geometry of \mathcal D - bundles —locally projective \mathcal D -modules—on algebraic curves, and apply them to ...

Why human connection is the true metric of research success

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Human‐centred mentorship can be shaped by mentor attributes, actions, intrinsic drive and career ambition. Drawing on reflections across Singapore and France, as well as workshop insights from FEBS‐IUBMB ENABLE 2024, this article shows that human‐centred mentorship creates the conditions for sustainable growth, well‐being and retention in research ...

Supersymmetry Flows, Semi-Symmetric Space Sine-Gordon Models And The Pohlmeyer Reduction

open access: yes, 2011
We study the extended supersymmetric integrable hierarchy underlying the Pohlmeyer reduction of superstring sigma models on semi-symmetric superspaces F/G.

Early‐life high‐fat diet exposure increases Achilles tendon stiffness and induces transcriptomic alterations

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Early‐life exposure to a high‐fat diet altered intact Achilles tendons in rat offspring, making them thinner, stiffer, and molecularly distinct even without injury. These findings suggest that developmental high‐fat diet exposure may impair tendon quality and increase susceptibility to mechanical overload or tendon injury later in life.

Supersymmetric Extensions of the Harry Dym Hierarchy

open access: yes, 2003
We study the supersymmetric extensions of the Harry Dym hierarchy of equations. We obtain the susy-B extension, the doubly susy-B extension as well as the N=1 and the N=2 supersymmetric extensions for this system.
