A Bibliometric Analysis of Publications in Uremic Toxins From 1991 to 2024

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Uremic toxins are a growing area of research in nephrology, with significant implications in the progression and treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and the management of end‐stage kidney disease (ESKD). This bibliometric analysis aims to evaluate the global research trends, key contributors, and the impact of publications in ...

Fractional boundary value problems and Lyapunov-type inequalities with fractional integral boundary conditions

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2016
We discuss boundary value problems for Riemann-Liouville fractional differential equations with certain fractional integral boundary conditions. Such boundary conditions are different from the widely considered pointwise conditions in the sense that they

Exact partition functions of the Ising model on MxN planar lattices with periodic-aperiodic boundary conditions

open access: yes, 2002
The Grassmann path integral approach is used to calculate exact partition functions of the Ising model on MxN square (sq), plane triangular (pt) and honeycomb (hc) lattices with periodic-periodic (pp), periodic-antiperiodic (pa), antiperiodic-periodic ...

Revealing the structure of land plant photosystem II: the journey from negative‐stain EM to cryo‐EM

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Advances in cryo‐EM have revealed the detailed structure of Photosystem II, a key protein complex driving photosynthesis. This review traces the journey from early low‐resolution images to high‐resolution models, highlighting how these discoveries deepen our understanding of light harvesting and energy conversion in plants.

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Positive solutions of singular Hadamard-type fractional differential equations with infinite-point boundary conditions or integral boundary conditions

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2019
We establish the existence of positive solutions to a class of a singular nonlinear Hadamard-type fractional differential equations with infinite-point boundary conditions (BCs) or integral BCs.

Structural instability impairs function of the UDP‐xylose synthase 1 Ile181Asn variant associated with short‐stature genetic syndrome in humans

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Boundary Value Problems for Hilfer Fractional Differential Inclusions with Nonlocal Integral Boundary Conditions

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
In this paper, we study boundary value problems for differential inclusions, involving Hilfer fractional derivatives and nonlocal integral boundary conditions.
