A Totally Integrated Navigation System

Offshore Technology Conference, 1976
ABSTRACT Increasing operating cost of marine geophysical surveys, coupled with expansion of surveys into deeper water and further from shore have placed new demands for reliability in navigation. Although numerous navigational system are capable of supplying good data in specific operating environments around the ...

RAIM in Integrated Navigation System

2007 8th International Conference on Electronic Measurement and Instruments, 2007
In integrated navigation system, several navigation systems work follow certain rules and errors can hardly be avoided in one of the systems. A great error will be caused by using the wrong information to calculate the position of carrier. This article takes GPS for an example, an Autonomous Integrity Monitoring method of satellite navigation receiver ...

An integrated navigation system design for Quadrotors

2015 Sensor Data Fusion: Trends, Solutions, Applications (SDF), 2015
In this work, a particle filter based integrated navigation system is designed and tested with real quadrotor systems. Conventionally, Kalman filter based algorithms is used for navigation systems which is highly non-linear. Kalman filter has significant assumptions such as linearity of system and measurement models and Gaussian distributions.

An integrated land navigation system

IEEE PLANS '88.,Position Location and Navigation Symposium, Record. 'Navigation into the 21st Century'., 2003
An exploratory development model of an optimally integrated system for Artic land navigation has been designed, implemented, and tested. This system, called PLANS (Primary Land Arctic Navigation System) was designed and built to be a highly reliable, moderately accurate and moderately priced, nonradiating automatic navigation system for all-weather off-

Unconventional Integrated Navigation Systems based on Redundancy of Traditional Navigation Sensors

AIAA Guidance, Navigation, and Control Conference, 2010
In this work several unconventional navigation systems are presented that include redundancy of traditional navigation sensors. Main focus is on sensor architectures, while sensor fusion algorithms will be treated as a secondary aspect. Specifically, an analysis of systems with multiple IMUs, Gyro-free INS and GPS derived attitude has been performed ...

The Integration of Air Navigation Systems

Navigation, 1968
The ever increasing air traffic volume on high density international routes indicates the need for increased air space capacity. This involves reduction in air traffic separation standards. Consequently, improved navigation accuracy must be achieved. The examination of air carrier over-ocean navigation practices discloses a wide variety of navigation ...
