An Integrated Navigation and Localization System

2021 IEEE International Conference on Smart Internet of Things (SmartIoT), 2021
Navigation and localization technique is a critical part of an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV). It provides critical position information, and determines the efficiency and accuracy of underwater tasks. To improve the accuracy and reliability of the navigation and localization system, we proposed an integrated navigation and localization system ...

Integrated Tourist Navigation System

2009 Sixth International Conference on Computer Graphics, Imaging and Visualization, 2009
Tourist navigation systems have used digital maps to provide users with location and route information for a long time. However, without detailed 3D building models, users may miss important turns at some intersections and have problems to find their target buildings.

VisPad: Integrating Visualization, Navigation and Synthesis

2007 IEEE Symposium on Visual Analytics Science and Technology, 2007
We present a new framework - VisPad - to support the user to revisit the visual exploration process, and to synthesize and disseminate information. It offers three integrated views. The data view allows the user to interactively explore the data. The navigation view captures the exploration process.

Multimodal Navigation Integrated with Imaging

2010
Intraoperative high-field MRI in combination and close integration with microscope-based navigation serving as a common interface for the presentation of multimodal data in the surgical field seems to be one of the most promising surgical setups allowing avoiding unwanted tumor remnants while preserving neurological function.

An integrated navigation system design for Quadrotors

2015 Sensor Data Fusion: Trends, Solutions, Applications (SDF), 2015
In this work, a particle filter based integrated navigation system is designed and tested with real quadrotor systems. Conventionally, Kalman filter based algorithms is used for navigation systems which is highly non-linear. Kalman filter has significant assumptions such as linearity of system and measurement models and Gaussian distributions.

Recurrent Networks for Integrated Navigation

2005
A novel neural-network-compensated Kalman filter for integrated navigation system was proposed. Based on the similarity of operation principle between Elman networks and non-linear ARMA model, the Elman network is employed as a compensating error estimator to improve accuracy of the Kalman filter.

Integrated Navigation

Journal of Navigation, 1963
Each navigational aid has its advantages and disadvantages and for that reason the optimum aid will be a combination of several aids. The best way of combining the aids seems to be by means of an automatic dead reckoning computer which continuously computes position from true air-speed and wind-speed and other data which can be fed into the existing ...

Integration of Navigation Data

Journal of Navigation, 1995
This article treats integration of navigation data from a variety of sensors in a submarine using extended Kalman filtering in order to improve the accuracy of position, velocity and heading estimates. The problem has been restricted to planar motion.
