Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Directional-coupler-based Mach-Zehnder interferometer in silicon-on-insulator technology for optical intensity modulation

open access: yes, 2007
Based on silicon-on-insulator (SOI) technology, a Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) is fabricated, in which two directional couplers serve as power splitter and combiner.

Intensity modulation of a hybrid integrated diode laser [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
Hybrid integrated diode lasers are compact, widely tunable and can be designed to have extremely low intrinsic line width. Here we investigate the intensity modulation response of a such a laser having a tuning range of 100 nm around 1550 nm. Utilizing a

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Enhanced Performance of Intensity Modulation With Direct Detection Using Golay Encoded Nyquist Pulses and Electronic Dispersion Compensation

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal
The performance of intensity modulation (IM) with direct detection (DD) transmission systems is enhanced through a novel combination of multidimensional coding, Nyquist pulse shaping, and electronic dispersion compensation (EDC) at the transmitter using ...

Optically guided intensity modulated radiotherapy

open access: yesRadiotherapy and Oncology, 2001
Previously, we reported on development of an optically guided system for 3D conformal intracranial radiotherapy using multiple noncoplanar fixed fields. In this paper we report on the extension of our system for stereotactic fractionated radiotherapy to include intensity modulated static ports.A 3D treatment plan with maximum beam separation is ...

Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.
