Interaction of preimplantation factor with the global bovine endometrial transcriptome.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2020
Preimplantation factor (PIF) is an embryo derived peptide which exerts an immune modulatory effect on human endometrium, promoting immune tolerance to the embryo whilst maintaining the immune response to invading pathogens.

Pointlike constituent quarks and scattering equivalences [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
In this paper scattering equivalences are used to simplify current operators in constituent quark models. The simplicity of the method is illustrated by applying it to a relativistic constituent quark model that fits the meson mass spectrum.

Personalized Selumetinib Dosing in Pediatric Neurofibromatosis Type 1: Insights From a Pilot Therapeutic Drug Monitoring Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate selumetinib exposure using therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) in pediatric patients with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) and plexiform neurofibromas (PN), assess interpatient pharmacokinetic variability, and explore the relationship between drug exposure, clinical response, and adverse effects.

In silico interaction of insulin-like growth factor binding protein 3 with insulin-like growth factor 1

open access: yesResearch in Pharmaceutical Sciences, 2018
Insulin-like growth factor binding protein-3 (IGFBP-3) is a vital protein exist in circulation which interacts with high affinity to insulin-like growth factor (IGFs) altering their activities.

Antiferromagnetism and superfluidity of a dipolar Fermi gas in a 2D optical lattice

open access: yes, 2011
In a dipolar Fermi gas, the dipole-dipole interaction between fermions can be turned into a dipolar Ising interaction between pseduospins in the presence of an AC electric field.

g-Factor anisotropy of hole quantum wires induced by the Rashba interaction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We present calculations of the g factors for the lower conductance steps of 3D hole quantum wires. Our results prove that the anisotropy with magnetic field orientation, relative to the wire, originates in the Rashba spin-orbit coupling.

Evaluating the Utility of Paired Tumor and Germline Targeted DNA Sequencing for Pediatric Oncology Patients: A Single Institution Report

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the diagnostic yield and utility of universal paired tumor–normal multigene panel sequencing in newly diagnosed pediatric solid and central nervous system (CNS) tumor patients and to compare the detection of germline pathogenic/likely pathogenic variants (PV/LPVs) against established clinical referral criteria for cancer ...

Maximum-entropy Monte Carlo method for the inversion of the structure factor in simple classical systems

open access: yes, 2011
We present a method for the evaluation of the interaction potential of an equilibrium classical system starting from the (partial) knowledge of its structure factor.

Hydrodynamic interactions in colloidal ferrofluids: A lattice Boltzmann study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We use lattice Boltzmann simulations, in conjunction with Ewald summation methods, to investigate the role of hydrodynamic interactions in colloidal suspensions of dipolar particles, such as ferrofluids.

Financial Burden Associated With Hospitalisation Among Families of Childhood Brain Tumours in Australia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Families of children with cancer experience significant financial strain, even with universal healthcare. Indirect costs, such as productivity losses and non‐medical expenses, are rarely included in economic evaluations, and little is known about how effectively financial aid programmes alleviate this burden. Childhood brain tumours
