Interdiffusion studies in bulk Au–Ti system
The performance of the contacts, where Au/Ti layers are used in the metallization scheme, largely depends on the product phases grown by interdiffusion at the interface. It is found that four intermetallic compounds grow with narrow homogeneity range and

In Situ Two‐Dimensional Residual Stress Characterization of Thin Films
An integrated in situ curvature metrology platform combining speckle‐based curvature optical metrology (SCOM) with multi‐beam optical sensors (MOS) enables spatially resolved two‐dimensional curvature mapping of thick sputtered coatings. The SCOM technique provides excellent agreement with MOS while providing an extended measurable curvature range ...

Diffusion and interdiffusion in binary metallic melts
We discuss the dependence of self- and interdiffusion coefficients on temperature and composition for two prototypical binary metallic melts, Al-Ni and Zr-Ni, in molecular-dynamics (MD) computer simulations and the mode-coupling theory of the glass ...

Modeling the intermixing effects in highly strained asymmetric InGaAs/GaAs quantum well
In this work, we have theoretically investigated the intermixing effect in highly strained In0.3Ga0.7As/GaAs QW taking into consideration the composition profile change resulting from in-situ indium surface segregation.

Effect of Si-Ge interdiffusion on the waveguide properties of SiGe-Si MQW photodetector
Because of Si-Ge interdiffusion in the Si-SiGe interface during the growth process, the square-wave refractive index distribution of a SiGe-Si multiple-quantum-web (MQW) will become smooth.
