Microfluidic Interdigitated Electrodes for Determination of Neurotransmitters

Neurotransmitters are endogenous chemical messengers that transmit, boost, and balance the signals between neurons and target cells throughout the human body. They are essential for various brain activities, and abnormalities in neurotransmitters may lead to physical, mental, and neurodegenerative disorders, such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and ...

Fluid characterization by interdigitated electrodes sensors

2009
The purpose of this paper is to present the concept of a complete fluid characterization microsystem. This system is composed of three parts. The first is a classical two-dimensional sensor using interdigitated (IDA) aluminum electrodes covered by anodized alumina. The second part is a CMOS digital circuit which is used to modulate the sensor topology.

Microbead-based electrochemical immunoassay with interdigitated array electrodes

Analytical Biochemistry, 2004
The objective of this study was to develop a sensitive and miniaturized immunoassay by coupling a microbead-based immunoassay with an interdigitated array (IDA) electrode. An IDA electrode amplifies the signal by recycling an electrochemically redox-reversible molecule.

The evaluation of interdigitated array electrodes for measurement of catecholamines and indoleamines

Journal of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis, 2001
The use of Interdigitated Array (IDA) Microelectrodes for detection of low levels of biogenic amines has been demonstrated in stationary solutions and flow systems [M. Morita, et al., Electrochemica Acta 42 (20--21) (1997) 3177--3183]. This technique is highly sensitive.
