Detection and Evaluation of Coating Interface Damage
2021Although metal magnetic memory (MMM) evaluation of heat residual stress and service fatigue damage for remanufactured coatings has been investigated in Chaps. 9 and 10, respectively, MMM evaluation is still unable to meet the requirements of holistic quality evaluation for remanufactured components.

Interface Damage of Ceramic-Matrix Composites
2018Under cyclic fatigue loading, the damage mechanisms of fiber/matrix interface debonding, interface sliding and interface wear degrade the fiber/matrix interface shear stress. The fiber/matrix interface shear stress plays an important role in the fatigue behavior of fiber-reinforced ceramic-matrix composites (CMCs).

Damage cascade in an interface
Le Journal de Physique IV, 1998a model describing the damage in an interface which is coupled to an elastic homogeneous block is introduced. The interface is loaded in mode I, through an imposed displacement. We look particularly to the transition between a homogeneous micro-cracking state in the interface and the apparition of a macro-crack.

The Element Embeddded Interfaces Approach for Modelling Damaged Interfaces
Civil-Comp Proceedings, 2009A model of cohesive fracture by intra-element interfaces is presented. It uses a recently proposed algorithmic framework [4] based on the formal analogy between the enriched continuum and the theory of classical plasticity, that avoids static condensation at the element level.

An extended Mori-Tanaka micromechanics model for wavy CNT nanocomposites with interface damage
Mechanics of Advanced Materials and Structures, 2019In this paper, an extended Mori-Tanaka (MT) model was proposed to evaluate effective stiffnesses of wavy carbon nanotube (CNT) nanocomposites with interface damage. The proposed model combined MT theory with linear spring model and wavy CNT model.

Nd:YAG Laser Damage of Graphene–Nickel Interfaces
Lasers in Manufacturing and Materials Processing, 2016In this work we investigate the damage induced on a graphene–nickel interface after the exposure to Nd:YAG infrared laser radiation. The damage threshold has been experimentally determined. We observe that once the fluence exceeds the threshold value, both the morphology and the physical–chemical properties of the samples change. This has been verified
