Interface Engineering Strategies for Fabricating Nanocrystal-Based Organic–Inorganic Nanocomposites

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2018
Hybrid organic–inorganic nanocomposites have attracted considerable attention because they have the advantages of both conjugated polymers (CPs) and nanocrystals (NCs). Recent developments in the interfacial engineering of CP–NC organic–

Helices at Interfaces

open access: yes, 2012
Helically coiled filaments are a frequent motif in nature. In situations commonly encountered in experiments coiled helices are squeezed flat onto two dimensional surfaces.

Orientation-Dependent Transparency of Metallic Interfaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
As devices are reduced in size, interfaces start to dominate electrical transport making it essential to be able to describe reliably how they transmit and reflect electrons.

Describing Secure Interfaces with Interface Automata

open access: yesElectronic Notes in Theoretical Computer Science, 2010
AbstractInterface automata are a model that allows for the representation of stateful interfaces. In this paper we introduce a variant of interface automata, which we call interface structure for security (ISS), that allows for the modelling of security. We focus on the property of non interference, more precisely in bisimulation-based non interference

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

One dimensional edge localized YSR states in CrCl3 on NbSe2

open access: yesnpj Quantum Materials
Magnet/superconductor hybrid systems have been put forward as a platform for realizing topological superconductivity. We investigated the heterostructure of ferromagnetic monolayer CrCl3 and superconducting NbSe2. Using low-temperature scanning tunneling

The Role of the Interfaces in Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, 2019
Organic–inorganic hybrid perovskite solar cells (HPSCs) have achieved an impressive power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 25.2% in 2019. At this stage, it is of paramount importance to understand in detail the working mechanism of these devices and which ...

Cell density–dependent nuclear‐cytoplasmic shuttling of SETDB1 integrates with Hippo signaling to regulate YAP1‐mediated transcription

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
At low cell density, SETDB1 and YAP1 accumulate in the nucleus. As cell density increases, the Hippo pathway is gradually activated, and SETDB1 is associated with increased YAP1 phosphorylation. At high cell density, phosphorylated YAP1 is sequestered in the cytoplasm, while SETDB1 becomes polyubiquitinated and degraded by the ubiquitin–proteasome ...
