Cognition and Cooperation in Interfered Multiple Access Channels

open access: yesEntropy, 2017
In this work, we investigate a three-user cognitive communication network where a primary two-user multiple access channel suffers interference from a secondary point-to-point channel, sharing the same medium. While the point-to-point channel transmitter—

The K-user interference channel: Strong interference regime [PDF]

open access: yes2013 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory, 2013
This paper gives a solution to one of the long-standing open problems in network information theory: "What is the generalization of the strong interference regime to the K-user interference channel?"

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

A Rapid Convergent Low Complexity Interference Alignment Algorithm for Wireless Sensor Networks

open access: yesSensors, 2015
Interference alignment (IA) is a novel technique that can effectively eliminate the interference and approach the sum capacity of wireless sensor networks (WSNs) when the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is high, by casting the desired signal and interference

Radio Co-location Aware Channel Assignments for Interference Mitigation in Wireless Mesh Networks

open access: yes, 2015
Designing high performance channel assignment schemes to harness the potential of multi-radio multi-channel deployments in wireless mesh networks (WMNs) is an active research domain.

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Introducing Microcells into Macrocellular Networks: A Case Study

open access: yes, 1999
?The performance in terms of signal-to-interference ratio (SIR), teletraffic, and spectral efficiency of a combined macrocellular and microcellular network is investigated when either both types of cells share the same channel set, or when the channel ...

NKCC1: A key regulator of glioblastoma progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioblastoma (GBM) progression is driven by disrupted chloride cotransporter homeostasis. NKCC1 is highly expressed in stem‐like, astrocytic, and progenitor cells, correlating with earlier recurrence, while overall survival remains unaffected. NKCC1 serves as a prognostic marker and potential therapeutic target, linking chloride transporter imbalance ...

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

An Effective Channel Allocation Scheme to Reduce Co-Channel and Adjacent Channel Interference for WMN Backhaul [PDF]

open access: yesMehran University Research Journal of Engineering and Technology, 2016
Two folded work presents channel allocation scheme sustaining channel orthogonality and channel spacing to reduce CCI (Co-Channel Interference) and ACI (Adjacent Channel Interference) for inter flow of an intra-flow link.
