Interior point method based contact analysis algorithm for structural analysis of electronic device models

open access: yesMechanical Engineering Journal, 2015
In this paper, we present an algorithm for frictionless contact problems of linear elastic bodies with multi-point constraints. Our algorithm is based on an interior point method and is developed for large scale stress analysis of electronic device ...

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Improving complexity of Karmarkar's approach for linear programming

open access: yesJournal of Numerical Analysis and Approximation Theory, 2014
In this paper, we are interested in the performance of Karmarkar's projective algorithm for linear programming. Based on the work of Schrijver, we offer a new displacement step better than Schrijver's one which led to a moderate improvement in the ...

AN INTERIOR-POINT METHOD FOR MPECs BASED ON STRICTLY FEASIBLE RELAXATIONS. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
An interior-point method for solving mathematical programs with equilibrium constraints (MPECs) is proposed. At each iteration of the algorithm, a single primaldual step is computed from each subproblem of a sequence.

Homotopy Method for a General Multiobjective Programming Problem under Generalized Quasinormal Cone Condition

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2012
A combined interior point homotopy continuation method is proposed for solving general multiobjective programming problem. We prove the existence and convergence of a smooth homotopy path from almost any interior initial interior point to a solution of ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

A new full-NT step interior-point method for circular cone optimization

open access: yesCroatian Operational Research Review, 2019
We present a full step interior-point algorithm for circular coneoptimization using Euclidean Jordan algebras. The specificity of ourmethod is to use a transformation similar to that introduced byDarvay and Tak\'acs for the centering equations of the ...

A Novel Market Clearing and Safety Checking Method for Multi-Type Units That Considers Flexible Loads

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
Flexible loads have flexibility and variability in time and space, and they have been widely studied by scholars. However, the research on the participation of flexible loads in market clearing and safety checking is still insufficient.

Research on Day Ahead Dynamic Reactive Power Optimization Based on Generator Operation

open access: yes发电技术, 2021
In order to solve the practical problem of 24-hours dynamic reactive power optimization in power system dispatching, this paper divided generator's operation into three regions in PQ mathematical model, according to the limit output range of generator's ...

Modified Interior-Point Method for Large-and-Sparse Low-Rank Semidefinite Programs

open access: yes, 2017
Semidefinite programs (SDPs) are powerful theoretical tools that have been studied for over two decades, but their practical use remains limited due to computational difficulties in solving large-scale, realistic-sized problems.
