Fibroblast Activation Protein Acts as a Biomarker for Monitoring ECM Remodeling During Aortic Aneurysm via 68Ga‐FAPI‐04 PET Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 14, April 10, 2025.
[68Ga]‐FAPI‐04 PET imaging technique represents a potential method to assess the extent of AA remodeling in vivo and may help to identify candidates at potential risk for rapid AA progression. Abstract Traditional imaging modalities used to monitor the diameter of aortic aneurysms (AAs) often fail to follow pathological progression.

PRMT1 Ablation in Endothelial Cells Causes Endothelial Dysfunction and Aggravates COPD Attributable to Dysregulated NF‐κB Signaling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study investigates the role of protein arginine methyltransferase 1 (PRMT1) in endothelial cells (ECs) in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Mice with endothelial‐specific PRMT1 deletion develop pulmonary hemorrhage, inflammation, and apoptosis, driven by excessive nuclear factor kappa B activation.

NETs‐CD44‐IL‐17A Feedback Loop Drives Th17‐Mediated Inflammation in Behçet's Uveitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 16, April 24, 2025.
In experimental autoimmune uveitis (EAU), neutrophils interact with T helper 17 (Th17) cells through neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) to exert a pro‐inflammatory effect. In vitro and in vivo experiments identify that NETs promote IL‐17A secretion in Th17 cells via CD44, and increasing IL‐17A further induces more NETs formation.

Dipeptidic Phosphonates: Potent Inhibitors of Pseudomonas aeruginosa Elastase B Showing Efficacy in a Murine Keratitis Model

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 14, April 10, 2025.
A new series of highly potent dipeptidic phosphonates targeting the Pseudomonas aeruginosa protease LasB shows promising in vitro effects, favorable pharmacokinetics, good tolerability, and in vivo efficacy, highlighting their potential as a treatment for Pseudomonas keratitis when combined with meropenem. Abstract The ubiquitous opportunistic pathogen

Nanoenhanced‐Cuproptosis Results From the Synergy of Calcium Overload and GSH Depletion with the Increasing of Intracellular Ca/Mn/Cu Ions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 13, April 3, 2025.
In this study, CaCO3/Mn/Cu@lip‐Apt release Mn*, Cu2+, and Ca2+ in cells. The high valence Mn ion in Mn* can effectively consume GSH, allowing more Cu2+ to participate in cuproptosis. This situation will induce the oligomerization of DLAT. The large accumulation of Ca2+ leads to intracellular calcium overload, resulting in metabolism disorders. Finally,

HIC1 suppresses Tumor Progression and Enhances CD8+ T Cells Infiltration Through Promoting GSDMD‐induced Pyroptosis in Gastric Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
These findings elucidate the innovative role of HIC1 as a transcriptional activator in GC, driving the initiation of pyroptosis and enhancing CD8+ T cell infiltration, which has certain novelty and creative significance. Collectively, targeting HIC1 can present an appealing immunotherapeutic strategy to improve outcomes in GC patients.
