Interleukin-1 receptor-related kinase (IRAK4) is a widely expressed serine/threonine kinase involved in the regulation of innate immunity. IRAK4 plays a pivotal role as a key kinase within the downstream signaling pathway cascades of interleukin-1 ...

A long‐lived, five‐cell‐type human neurovascular (PENTA) model recreates vascular disorganization and incomplete repair after traumatic brain injury (TBI). By integrating endothelial, glial, neuronal, and immune components within a 3D scaffold, the platform enables time‐resolved analysis of neurovascular remodeling and provides a human‐relevant system ...

CASE OF USING THE INHIBITOR OF INTERLEUKIN 1 CANACINUMAB IN PATIENTS WITH AUTO INFLAMMATORY DISEASES
Interleukin 1 (IL 1) is the main mediator for many auto inflammatory diseases (AID). Cryopyrin-associated periodic syndromes (CAPS) became the first diseases, for which the efficacy of IL 1 inhibitors was shown with a high degree of evidence. Canacinumb (

Abstract Prostaglandins and leukotrienes differentially regulate the production of interleukin−1 (IL−1) in monocytes. It was, therefore, decided to investigate the effects of some 5−lipoxygenase inhibitors compared with standard IL−1−synthesis inhibitors on the production of IL−1 by human synovial tissue explants in organ culture.

Bioengineered 3D hPSC‐Cholangiocyte Ducts With Physiological Signals for Biliary Disease Modeling
Tian and colleagues generated a bioengineered bile duct from human pluripotent stem cell (hPSC)‐derived intrahepatic cholangiocytes within a high‐throughput, 384‐well platform to systematically examine the influence of biliary physiological signals including fluid flow, stromal cells and bile acids, and models intrahepatic biliary disease progression ...

Ionizable lipid nanoparticles target multiple pathological pathways in neurodegeneration. The designed self‐assembled materials undergo a pH‐triggered structural transformation from a cubosome/hexosome coexistence to a hexosome phase, enhancing intracellular delivery of a multi‐target phytochemical formulation. The antioxidant‐loaded pH‐responsive LNPs
