Structure and function of interleukin-22 and other members of the interleukin-10 family
Cellular and Molecular Life Sciences, 2010The IL-10 family of cytokines is comprised of IL-10, IL-19, IL-20, IL-22, IL-24, IL-26, and IFN-lambdas (IL-28A, IL-28B, and IL-29). The IL-10 family members bind to shared class II cytokine receptor chains that associate in various combinations in heterodimeric complexes.

Regulation of interleukin-10 and interleukin-22 expression in T helper cells
Current Opinion in Immunology, 2011Interleukin (IL)-10 and IL-22 are crucial regulators of inflammation during immune responses. While IL-10 functions to prevent excessive inflammation by acting on immune cells, IL-22 elicits innate responses from tissue epithelia and promotes wound healing.

INTERLEUKIN-22 DETECTED IN PATIENTS WITH ABDOMINAL SEPSIS
Shock, 2010Interleukin 22 (IL-22) is a TH17-like cytokine known to specifically activate epithelial cells, thereby strengthening immune defense at host/environment interfaces. Animal studies suggest that IL-22 may play a crucial role in clinical sepsis. However, little is known about IL-22 in sepsis patients.

Interleukin-22 is a negative regulator of the allergic response
Cytokine, 2010A proinflammatory role of T helper (Th)17 cells, producing IL-22 and IL-17A, has been favored although there is evidence for negative immune regulation by IL-17A. Here we show that IL-22 was produced during an allergic response in lungs of mice, immunized and challenged with ovalbumin (OVA), and that IL-22 neutralization further augmented the ...

[Expressions of interleukin-21 and interleukin-22 in Kimura's disease].
Zhonghua kou qiang yi xue za zhi = Zhonghua kouqiang yixue zazhi = Chinese journal of stomatology, 2016To investigate the expressions of interleukin (IL)-21 (IL-21) and IL-22 in patients with Kimura's disease (KD).Expressions of IL-21 and IL-22 were examined immunohistochemically in 36 patients with KD and 7 normal controls. The integral absorbance (IA) of the two groups was compared.
