Receptors for Interleukin-8 (IL-8)
1995Abstract Recently, cDNA clones encoding two human IL-8 receptors were isolated and characterized (Holmes et al. 1991; Murphy and Tiffany 1991). One receptor, termed the IL-BRA, was isolated (Holmes et al. 1991) from a human neutrophil cDNA library by expression cloning, using binding to 1251-IL-8 as the method of detection. The IL-8RA

Interleukin-8 and Angiogenesis
2006Interleukin-8 (IL-8) is an angiogenic CXC chemokine produced by a variety of cell types. Although initially described as a chemokine for neutrophils, IL-8 has become known as a potent angiogenic factor, involved in normal physiological processes such as wound healing, and abnormal processes such as cancer metastasis.
