Deep inspiration breath hold (DIBH) markedly cuts heart and left lung radiation doses during left‐sided breast cancer radiotherapy. The normal tissue complication probability (NTCP) model further confirms lower predicted cardiopulmonary toxicities versus free breathing (FB), potentially improving patients’ quality of life.

Nonthermal ultrasound transforms acoustic energy into diverse therapeutic bioeffects through cavitation, mechanical stimulation, and physicochemical activation. This review discusses how acoustic parameters, biological mechanisms, and responsive materials interact to influence nonthermal ultrasound‐enabled cancer therapies. Mechanism‐guided engineering

The absorbed fraction and the S factor represent fundamental quantities in MIRD-based dosimetry of radiopharmaceutical therapy (RPT). Although Monte Carlo (MC) simulations represent the gold standard in RPT dosimetry, dose point kernels (DPK) obtained ...

Integration of external and internal dosimetry in Switzerland [PDF]
Individual monitoring regulations in Switzerland are based on the ICRP60 recommendations. The annual limit of 20 mSv for the effective dose applies to the sum of external and internal radiation. External radiation is monitored monthly or quarterly with TLD, DIS or CR-39 dosemeters by 10 approved external dosimetry services and reported as Hp(10) and Hp(

Nonthermal plasma approaches for combating implant‐associated infections: A compendious review
Implant‐associated infections pose serious clinical challenges. Non‐thermal plasma (NTP) modifications overcome this bottleneck in distinct ways relative to traditional sterilization methods. Gas‐phase plasmas generate highly energetic species, UV radiation and reactive oxygen/nitrogen species (RONS), which alter the implant surface properties.
