Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

GETTİER SONRASI EPİSTEMOLOJİDE DESCARTES ODAKLI BİLGİ TANIMI TARTIŞMALARI

open access: yesFelsefe Dünyası, 2014
E. Gettier’in “Is Justified True Belief Knowledge?”(GerekçelendirilmişDoğru İnanç Bilgi midir?) adlı küçük makalesi, felsefe tarihinin en etkili yazılarındanbirisi olmakla kalmayıp, aynı zamanda felsefenin özgün alanlarınınbaşında gelen epistemolojide de

Erythropoietin modulates hepatic inflammation, glucose homeostasis, and soluble epoxide hydrolase and epoxides in high‐fat diet‐induced obese mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Erythropoietin administration suppresses hepatic soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH) expression, leading to increased CYP‐derived epoxides. This is associated with a shift in hepatic macrophage polarization characterized by reduced M1 markers and increased M2 markers, along with reduced hepatic inflammation, suppressed hepatic lipogenesis, and attenuated ...

Externalism and knowledge: how to follow rules

open access: yesОмский научный вестник: Серия "Общество. История. Современность"
The aim of the paper is to show that Kripke-Wittgenstein’s rule-following paradox assumes the premise of epistemic internalism that inappropriately restricting the admissible answers about how agents can know the rules or meanings of linguistic ...

What normative terms mean and why it matters for ethical theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
This paper investigates how inquiry into normative language can improve substantive normative theorizing. First I examine two dimensions along which normative language differs: “strength” and “subjectivity.” Next I show how greater sensitivity to these ...

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Chameleon sequences reveal structural effects in proteins representing micelle‐like distribution of hydrophobicity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Amino acids sequence of two different proteins with the same sequence (chameleon sequence—black boxes) represent in 3D structure of the proteins different secondary structures: HHHH—helical and BBB—Beta‐structural. The chains folded in water environment adopt different III‐order structures in which the chameleon fragments appear to adopt similar status
