Mapping of meteorological conditions surrounding road infrastructures is a critical tool to identify high-risk spots related to harsh weather. However, local or regional data are not always available, and researchers and authorities must rely on coarser ...

Interpolation free subpixel accuracy motion estimation [PDF]
Licensed and exploited by ProVision Communications Technologies Ltd. Accurate motion estimation at sub pixel resolution is computationally complex. Method overcomes difficulties of subpixel search in real time implementation of H.264 codec, through ...

Protein aggregates threaten proteostasis and cell health. In human cells, Hsp70–J‐domain protein‐based disaggregases remove aggregates, but how they assemble remains unclear. Our biochemical findings show that DNAJA2‐ and DNAJB1‐containing disaggregase scaffolds enhance luciferase aggregate targeting, and that Hsp70 recruitment by both J‐domain ...

INTEGRATION AND INTERPOLATION [PDF]
The articles published by the Annals of Eugenics (1925–1954) have been made available online as an historical archive intended for scholarly use. The work of eugenicists was often pervaded by prejudice against racial, ethnic and disabled groups. The online publication of this material for scholarly research purposes is not an endorsement of those views

Angular-distance weighting (ADW) is a common approach for interpolation of an irregular network of meteorological observations to a regular grid. A widely used version of ADW employs the correlation decay distance (CDD) to (1) select stations that should

Reconstructing enzyme evolution by protein engineering
Natural enzyme evolution can be retraced by protein engineering methods such as directed evolution, rational design, and ancestral sequence reconstruction. These approaches reveal how enzymes emerged from ligand‐binding scaffolds, developed varying substrate preferences, formed oligomeric complexes, adapted to environmental changes, and evolved novel ...

Let \(\Delta^k\) be the open unit polydisk in \(\mathbb{C}^k\) and \(\alpha= (\alpha_1, \dots, \alpha_n)\) an \(n\)-tuple of distinct points in \(\Delta^k\). The corresponding pick body \(P_\alpha\) is the set of all points \(\omega\in \mathbb{C}^n\) such that there is a bounded holomorphic function \(F\) in \(\Delta^k\) into the property \(|F |_\infty\

A disposition of interpolation techniques
A large collection of interpolation techniques is available for application in environmental research. To help environmental scientists in choosing an appropriate technique a disposition is made, based on 1) applicability in space, time and space-time, 2)

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.
