ABSTRACT As a crucial puzzle piece of deep space exploration, exploring small bodies can provide significant scientific insights and valuable mineral resources. Unlike missions to the Moon and Mars, small‐body missions pose distinct technical challenges, including communication delays, weak gravity, and uncertain environments. This paper reviews a full

Interstellar absorption lines toward gamma Arae
The available data on interstellar absorption lines in the spectrum of gamma Ara observed from the ground and with the Copernicus telescope have been analyzed to give column densities of various ion stages of H, C, N, O, Na, Mg, Si, P, S, Ar, Ca, Mn, and Fe.

Abstract Volatile‐rich xenolithic clasts in different types of brecciated meteorites represent unique pristine solar system material. This study investigates the maturity and thermal history of organic matter using Raman spectroscopy and aqueous alteration effects using infrared spectroscopy in the matrix of 15 volatile‐rich clasts (C1 and CM‐like ...

Interstellar absorption lines in the galaxy NGC 1705
The possibility is considered, and shown to be plausible, that the strong C IV and Si IV absorption lines in low-resolution ultraviolet spectra of gas-rich dwarf galaxies are primarily interstellar, not stellar as has been supposed. The argument is based on analogies with H II regions in the Local Group, on low-resolution equivalent width measurements ...

Abstract Amorphous carbon (αC) is found in various extraterrestrial particles, including those thought to originate from the outer Solar System. αC can form through two main processes involving C‐rich materials: exposure to energetic charged particles and thermal processing.

Regarding the Detection of Interstellar C4 and C5 Molecules
Analysis of very high signal-to-noise ratio (S/N) spectra of reddened stars allowed us to determine an upper limit (UL) of the column density N (C _4 ).

Spaceborne and spaceborn: Physiological aspects of pregnancy and birth during interplanetary flight
Abstract Crewed interplanetary return missions that are on the planning horizon will take years, more than enough time for initiation and completion of a pregnancy. Pregnancy is viewed as a sequence of processes – fertilization, blastocyst formation, implantation, gastrulation, placentation, organogenesis, gross morphogenesis, birth and neonatal ...

The interstellar absorption-line spectrum of MU Ophiuchi
UV interstellar lines have been measured on high-resolution, long- and short-wavelength IUE spectra of the B8 V star Mu Oph. Column densities for the observed atoms and ions have been determined as well as turbulent velocities. The interstellar spectrum of Mu Oph is similar to the ones for Rho Oph and Zeta Oph.
