Spaceborne and spaceborn: Physiological aspects of pregnancy and birth during interplanetary flight
Abstract Crewed interplanetary return missions that are on the planning horizon will take years, more than enough time for initiation and completion of a pregnancy. Pregnancy is viewed as a sequence of processes – fertilization, blastocyst formation, implantation, gastrulation, placentation, organogenesis, gross morphogenesis, birth and neonatal ...

Turbulence in the molecular interstellar medium [PDF]
AbstractThe observational record of turbulence within the molecular gas phase of the interstellar medium is summarized. We briefly review the analysis methods used to recover the velocity structure function from spectroscopic imaging and the application of these tools on sets of cloud data.

CF+ excitation in the interstellar medium
The detection of CF+ in interstellar clouds potentially allows astronomers to infer the elemental fluorine abundance and the ionization fraction in ultraviolet-illuminated molecular gas. Because local thermodynamic equilibrium (LTE) conditions are hardly fulfilled in the interstellar medium (ISM), the accurate determination of the CF+ abundance ...

Deuterium enrichment of the interstellar medium [PDF]
Despite low elemental abundance of atomic deuterium in interstellar medium (ISM), observational evidences suggest that several species in gas-phase and in ices could be heavily fractionated. We explore various aspects of deuterium enrichment by constructing a chemical evolution model in gas and grain phases.

Measurement of Interstellar Magnetization by Synchrotron Polarization Variance
Since synchrotron polarization fluctuations are related to the fundamental properties of the magnetic field, we propose the polarization intensity variance to measure the Galactic interstellar medium (ISM) magnetization.

The Role of Benzonitrile Chlorination Explored by Dissociative Electron Attachment
Experimental and theoretical dissociative electron attachment study of 2‐ and 4‐chlorobenzonitrile. The dissociative electron attachment process to ortho‐ and para‐chlorobenzonitrile was investigated in the 0–12 eV energy range with a crossed‐beam time‐of‐flight mass spectrometer, supported by quantum chemical scattering calculations.

Revealing the Spectral Properties of Magnetic Turbulence by Synchrotron Polarization Gradients
Based on the modern understanding of MHD turbulence theory, we propose a new method for measuring the spectral properties of magnetic turbulence by synchrotron polarization gradient analysis.

Structure and Spectroscopy of Criegee Intermediates in Gas‐ and Aqueous Environments
ABSTRACT The dynamics and spectroscopy of the small (H2COO) and large (CH3CHOO) Criegee intermediates (CIs) in the gas phase, inside/on water droplets, on amorphous solid water (ASW) and in bulk water are investigated using validated energy functions.
