Primary Aldosteronism Subtype Diagnosis: Adrenal Venous Sampling vs. CXCR4 PET CT

open access: yesEndocrinology, Diabetes &Metabolism, Volume 9, Issue 5, September 2026.
We compared CXCR4 PET/CT and AVS for primary aldosteronism subtyping. CXCR4 showed no statistical difference from AVS in diagnostic and prognostic outcomes in this study, which offers a non‐invasive alternative for PAlateralisation. ABSTRACT Purpose To explore the clinical value of adrenal venous sampling (AVS) and CXCR4‐directed 68Ga‐pentixafor PET/CT

Clinical and research applications of synthetic bone substitutes in equine veterinary medicine: A systematic review

open access: yesEquine Veterinary Journal, Volume 58, Issue 5, Page 1150-1168, September 2026.
Abstract Background Bone grafting in equine medicine offers a promising contribution to treating orthopaedic developmental diseases and chondral, osteochondral and segmental bone defects. Among grafts, synthetic bone substitutes—alloplastics—show favourable biological properties addressing numerous limitations presented by autografts, xenografts and ...

Dual‐Wavelength Super‐Pulsed Diode Laser (810 and 980 nm) for Mucocele Excision in the Lower Lip: Case Report

open access: yesJournal of Biophotonics, Volume 19, Issue 9, September 2026.
Excisional biopsy of a lower lip mucocele performed using a dual‐wavelength super‐pulsed diode laser (810/980 nm), enabling precise cutting, effective hemostasis, preservation of the surgical specimen, and postoperative photobiomodulation using the same device.

Lcn2 Promotes Ferroptosis in Intracerebral Hemorrhage by Targeting Keap1 Tyr572 and Restricting Nrf2 Activation

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 9, September 2026.
This study reveals that Lcn2 regulates ferroptosis after ICH via the Keap1/Nrf2 axis. Neuronal Lcn2 deletion reduces lipid peroxidation, restores mitochondrial function, and improves ferroptosis. Keap1 Tyr572Ala mutant acts as a molecular switch whose effects invert with Lcn2 status.

Sono‐Vasomics With Super‐Resolution Contrast‐Enhanced Ultrasound (SR‐CEUS) for Characterization of Focal Liver Lesions: A Case Report

open access: yesPortal Hypertension &Cirrhosis, Volume 5, Issue 3, Page 287-291, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Accurate differentiation between benign and malignant focal liver lesions (FLLs) remains a major diagnostic challenge. Vasomics, an emerging discipline, classifies vascular phenotypes into anatomical, biomechanical, biochemical, pathophysiological, and composite categories. Sono‐Vasomics, the ultrasound‐based subset, leverages super‐resolution
