Characterizations for S-Convex-Averaging Domains via Two-Dimensional Diffusion-Wave Equations

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, we introduce the concept of s-convex-averaging domains, which are extensions of circular and irregular convex domains, by using s-convex functions and generalized Orlicz norms. Based on the quasi-hyperbolic metric and Lp-averaging domains,

The intrinsic "sense" of stochastic differential equations

open access: yes, 2016
A free choice of the integration sense would lead to the paradox that the number of possible equations (thus of solutions for a given model) can vary under a mere change of the variables. This is shown by a specific change which neutralizes the sense (by establishing a constant coupling with the noise).

Zein‐Based Adhesives: Sustainable Extraction and Application in Bioadhesive Technologies

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Zein is extracted from corn gluten meal using a simple and scalable process with high yield (~90%). The resulting protein is applied in bioadhesives modified with Ca2+ and Fe3+ ions, exhibiting substrate‐dependent adhesion. The findings demonstrate competitive bonding performance and highlight the role of ionic interactions in tuning adhesion ...

Intrinsic and Inherited Inflation Persistence

open access: yes
In the conventional view of inflation, the New Keynesian Phillips curve (NKPC) captures most of the persistence in inflation. The sources of persistence are twofold.

Intrinsic disturbed flame equations and stretched premixed flamelet model : two descriptions of premixed flame-flow interaction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Over the last few years, two new descriptions of flame-flow interaction have been developed independently, viz. the ’Intrinsic Disturbed Flame Equations’ (IDFE) and ’Stretched Premixed Flamelet Model’ (SPFM).

Sheaves of nonlinear generalized functions and manifold-valued distributions

open access: yes, 2009
This paper is part of an ongoing program to develop a theory of generalized differential geometry. We consider the space G[X,Y] of Colombeau generalized functions defined on a manifold X and taking values in a manifold Y. This space is essential in order

Regularity for anisotropic quasi-linear parabolic equations with variable growth

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2019
In this article, we study a class of anisotropic quasi-linear parabolic equations with variable exponents. Following DiBenedetto's intrinsic scaling method, we prove local continuity of solutions under the condition for which only local boundedness ...

Variable Stiffness Flexure Structures Enabled by Phase‐Change Gallium and Adhesive Interfacial Locking for Soft Robotic Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A flexure‐based variable stiffness structure is developed by integrating phase‐change modulation and adhesive interfacial locking of gallium. The design enables a wide stiffness variability, transitioning from soft, flexible behavior to rigid, load‐supporting performance.

Weyl multiplet structure of QCD

open access: yesPhysics Letters B
We consider Weyl group symmetric structure of SU(3) quantum chromodynamics (QCD) with one flavor quark. It has been demonstrated that the Weyl group as a finite color subgroup of SU(3) provides an intrinsic color symmetry of quark and gluon fields on the

Thermodynamic Pathways of Nonequilibrium Solidification in Wire‐Arc Additive Manufacturing Fe‐Based Multicomponent Alloy Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Geometry‐driven thermal behavior in wire‐arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) influences microstructural evolution during nonequilibrium solidification of a chemically complex Fe–Cr–Nb–W–Mo–C nanocomposite system. By comparing different deposits configurations, distinct entropy–cooling rate correlations, segregation, and carbide evolution are revealed ...
