INTRINSIC VARIABLES OF CONSTITUTIVE EQUATION
Necessarily, investigation of the possibility of constitutive equations assumed to be of differential equation shape leads to the conclusion that, in addition to the assumed functions, the constitutive equations contain also so-called intrinsic variables.

Magnetohydrodynamic Flow of Viscous Fluid in a Slot Between Curvilinear Surfaces of Revolution
This paper contains the study of the magnetohydrodynamic, steady, laminar flow of viscous fluid in a slot between curvilinear surfaces of revolution having a common axis of symmetry.

Disordered (Fe50Co50)1−xPtx thin films exhibit a pronounced anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) with a strong composition dependence on both rigid and flexible substrates. The transverse thermoelectric response peaks near 22.5 at.% Pt, accompanied by enhanced αxy/σxy scaling, thermal transport, and ANE sensitivity.

Boundary conditions in intrinsic nonlinear elasticity
International audienceThe intrinsic formulation of the displacement-traction problem of nonlinear elasticity is a system of partial differential equations and boundary conditions whose unknown is the Cauchy–Green strain tensor field instead of the ...

Self-Calibration for Star Sensors
Aiming to address the chicken-and-egg problem in star identification and the intrinsic parameter determination processes of on-orbit star sensors, this study proposes an on-orbit self-calibration method for star sensors that does not depend on star ...

A general elliptic equation with intrinsic operator
Existence and bound of a solution is established for a general elliptic equation with intrinsic operator subject to Dirichlet boundary condition. This provides a sufficient condition to the fundamental question if there is a solution belonging to a prescribed ball in the function space.

Evaluating Energy Absorption Performance of Filled Lattice Structures
Maximum stress must be considered to robustly evaluate energy absorber designs. This approach was applied to compare all types of absorbers in a single Ashby diagram and determine the utility of filling lattice voids with a second material. High‐performance fillers can improve the performance of lattices that are limited by buckling or catastrophic ...

This study demonstrates how optimizing laser power, scanning speed, and hatching distance in laser powder bed fusion can boost the productivity of Inconel 718 manufacturing by up to 29% while maintaining mechanical integrity. The work delivers a validated process window and cost–time analysis, offering industry‐ready guidelines for efficient additive ...

Smooth approximation for intrinsic Lipschitz functions in the Heisenberg group
We characterize intrinsic Lipschitz functions as maps which can be approximated by a sequence of smooth maps, with pointwise convergent intrinsic gradient.
