The Splitting Crank–Nicolson Scheme with Intrinsic Parallelism for Solving Parabolic Equations
In this paper, a splitting Crank–Nicolson (SC-N) scheme with intrinsic parallelism is proposed for parabolic equations. The new algorithm splits the Crank–Nicolson scheme into two domain decomposition methods, each one is applied to compute the values at

Dynamic analysis of planar rigid multibody systems modeled using natural absolute coordinates
This paper deals with the dynamic simulation of rigid multibody systems described with the use of two-dimensional natural absolute coordinates. The computational methodology discussed in this investigation is referred to as planar Natural Absolute ...

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Specimen Inertia in high strain rate tensile testing
It is well established that measurements of the dynamic mechanical response of materials are susceptible to errors due to the inertia of the specimen, which causes stresses in addition to the intrinsic material strength.

Dynamical processes of vortex electrons in intense laser field
In this paper, the dynamic processes of strong vortex electrons with inherent orbital angular momentum in intense laser are studied. The evolution of the intrinsic orbital and spin angular momentum of a vortex electron in a chirped laser field is studied

Relational Mechanics as a gauge theory [PDF]
Absolute space is eliminated from the body of mechanics by gauging translations and rotations in the Lagrangian of a classical system. The procedure implies the addition of compensating terms to the kinetic energy, in such a way that the resulting ...

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Massless Thirring model in canonical quantization scheme
It is shown that the exact solvability of the massless Thirring model in the canonical quantization scheme originates from the intrinsic linearizability of its Heisenberg equations in the method of dynamical mappings.

Toward stable 3D numerical evolutions of black-hole spacetimes [PDF]
Three dimensional (3D) numerical evolutions of static black holes with excision are presented. These evolutions extend to about 8000M, where M is the mass of the black hole. This degree of stability is achieved by using growth-rate estimates to guide the
