We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

Molecular cancer prevention: Intercepting disease
Oncological practice must evolve, from treating established tumours to proactive cancer interception before clinical manifestation. This will require mechanistic insight into tumour initiation, validated biomarkers of early disease development and redesigned clinical trials, enabling cancer interception to become a core pillar of oncology with the ...

Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. Testing a measurement model of multidimensional intrinsic motivation in studying for examination [PDF]
Intrinsic motivation is seen as a stronger driver for academic success compared to extrinsic motivation. This study proposed a comprehensive framework for intrinsic motivation by incorporating five different theories in a measurement model. The reason is

Theoretical study of adsorption complexes in H-ZSM-5 [PDF]
Catalytic conversions in acidic zeolites such as H-ZSM-5 find applications in a whole range of industrial production processes. Unraveling the actual network of reactions taking place inside the zeolite pores, however, can be a very challenging task.
