Differential regulation of ZFAS1 splice variants by endoplasmic reticulum stress in hepatocyte cell lines

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
ZFAS1 is a lncRNA promoting cell proliferation and migration, exhibiting high expression in various cancers. It is conserved, widely expressed, and produces multiple splice variants with unclear roles. We identified several splice variants in hepatocyte models, and found that inhibiting or suppressing regulators of the unfolded protein response (PERK ...

HIV‐1 establishes immediate latency in T cells expressing the viral Nef protein

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Nef is a viral protein often omitted from HIV‐1 reporter viruses. Consequently, its role in viral latency is unclear. We developed three novel dual reporter HIV‐1 derivatives that express Nef and allow for detection of latent and productive infection. Using these reporters, we show that Nef does not affect the establishment of immediate viral latency ...

Entire invariant solutions to Monge-Ampère equations [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 2004
We prove existence and regularity of entire solutions to Monge-Ampère equations invariant under an irreducible action of a compact Lie group.

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

Anchorage‐independent and faster growth in clonal population from UV‐irradiated NER‐deficient cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UV‐irradiated cells expressing a DDB2 mutant protein unable to interact with PCNA (DDB2PCNA‐) form clones able to grow without anchorage. Different experimental approaches reveal heterogeneity in cell cycle regulation and drug response within these clones, emphasizing the crucial role of the DDB2‐PCNA interaction in preventing cellular transformation ...

ON SYMMETRY REDUCTIONS AND INVARIANT SOLUTIONS OF THE k-ε TURBULENCE MODEL

open access: yesНаучный вестник МГТУ ГА, 2016
Methods of theoretical group analysis of differential equations are applied to the k -ε turbulence model. Symmetry reductions of the k -ε turbulence model with respect to some three-dimensional symmetry subalgebras are considered.

Solutions of Abreu's Equation with Rotation Invariance [PDF]

open access: yesMethods and Applications of Analysis, 2004
In the paper under review some fourth order nonlinear partial differential equation in an \(n\)-dimensional Cartesian space \({\mathbb R}^{n}\) named Abreu's equation [see \textit{S. K. Donaldson}, J. Differ. Geom., 62, No. 2, 289--349 (2002; Zbl 1074.53059)], in the context of Kähler metrics on tori varietes, are considered.
