Field‐level crop choice responses to weather‐induced yield shocks in the US Corn Belt
Abstract As climate change increases the frequency and severity of extreme heat events, farmers are expected to face greater variability in crop yields. Using 10 million field‐level observations, this study examines how farmers in the US Corn Belt adjust corn–soybean rotation decisions in response to yield shocks largely driven by weather fluctuations.

ABSTRACT Deep generative models, particularly denoising diffusion models, have achieved remarkable success in high‐fidelity generation of architected microstructures with desired properties and styles. However, these recent methods typically rely on conditional training mechanisms that require extensive labeled data.

ABSTRACT Assessing fish diversity and abundance is crucial for effective marine conservation and management strategies, particularly in ecologically sensitive areas such as the North Sea. Bottom trawling, one of the most commonly used fishing methods, is facing growing criticism, even for scientific purposes, and has already been banned in ecologically

Further Findings on the Intergenerational Transmission of Alcohol Consumption
ABSTRACT Using 43,817 parent–child pairs from 23 waves of the HILDA Survey, I study the intergenerational transmission of alcohol use within a rational model of trait transmission. Transmission is predominantly same‐sex: the mother–daughter elasticity is 0.10 and the father–son elasticity is 0.09; there is no father–daughter effect.

On Invariants And Homology Of Spaces Of Knots In Arbitrary Manifolds
The construction of finite-order knot invariants in R³, based on resolutions of discriminant sets, can be carried out immediately to the case of knots in an arbitrary three-dimensional manifold M (may be non-orientable) and, moreover, to the calculation ...

An automated framework is presented for quantifying DNA conformational variability from atomic force microscopy (AFM) images. DNA backbones are reduced to spline representations and analyzed using cyclic Procrustes analysis to measure shape similarity across ensembles.

Quantum Invariants of Links and 3-Manifolds with Boundary defined via Virtual Links
We introduce new topological quantum invariants of compact oriented 3-manifolds with boundary where the boundary is a disjoint union of two identical surfaces.

Integrated X‐Ray, Gamma Radiation, and Micro‐CT Techniques for Quantitative Wood Characterization
ABSTRACT The present research integrates microcomputed tomography (micro‐CT), x‐ray fluorescence, and gamma‐ray transmission to quantitatively characterize wood species. A total of 22 samples from seven species were analyzed for density (ρ), linear attenuation coefficient (μ), Compton scattering, micro‐CT gray values (GV), porosity, mass attenuation ...

Large scale computations of 3-manifolds invariants
La topologie est l'étude des objets à déformation près, sans couper ni coller: l'illustration la plus répandue est sans doute la transformation d'une tasse en donut.

Asymptotics of the Turaev-Viro Invariants and q-hyperbolic Manifolds
We study asymptotic properties of the Turaev--Viro invariants and build on their conjecturedconnections to the geometry of 3-manifolds. Our focus is a conjecture of Chen and Yang asserting that the exponential growth rate of the Turaev--Viro invariants ...
