Comparative study of adenosine 3′‐pyrophosphokinase domains of MuF polymorphic toxins

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
With the ultimate goal of understanding the association of toxin‐immunity modules to temperate phages, we characterized toxins from three prophages and examined cross‐protection from immunity proteins. The toxins exhibit adenosine 3′‐pyrophosphokinase activity and are toxic in Escherichia coli.

Ion-exchange purification and structural characterization of five sulfated fucoidans from brown algae

open access: yesGlycobiology, 2020
Fucoidans are a diverse class of sulfated polysaccharides integral to the cell wall of brown algae, and due to their various bioactivities, they are potential drugs. Standardized work with fucoidans is required for structure–function studies, but remains
