Ferromagnetic resonance study of Co/Pd/Co/Ni multilayers with perpendicular anisotropy irradiated with Helium ions

open access: yes, 2010
We present a ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) study of the effect of Helium ion irradiation on the magnetic anisotropy, the linewidth and the Gilbert damping of a Co/Ni multilayer coupled to Co/Pd bilayers.

Ion-Beam Induced Current in High-Resistance Materials [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
The peculiarities of electric current in high-resistance materials, such as semiconductors or semimetals, irradiated by ion beams are considered. It is shown that after ion--beam irradiation an unusual electric current may arise directed against the ...

Cyclic azapeptide CD36 ligand attenuates cardiac injury and reduces long‐chain fatty acid accumulation after myocardial ischemia–reperfusion in mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

Ion track formation via electric-field-enhanced energy deposition

open access: yesPhysical Review Research
High-energy ion irradiation deposits extreme energy in a narrow range (∼1–10 nm) along ion trajectories in solid through electronic energy loss, producing unique irradiation effects such as ion tracks.

Ion beam induced modification of exchange interaction and spin-orbit coupling in the Co$_2$FeSi Heusler compound

open access: yes, 2007
A Co$_2$FeSi (CFS) film with L2$_1$ structure was irradiated with different fluences of 30 keV Ga$^+$ ions. Structural modifications were subsequently studied using the longitudinal (LMOKE) and quadratic (QMOKE) magneto-optical Kerr effect.

Molecular ion irradiations of molybdenum

open access: yesPhilosophical Magazine, 2010
A series of TEM experiments has been carried out to investigate systematically the formation of vacancy dislocation loops in displacement cascades in molybdenum. Single-crystal foils of high-purity molybdenum were irradiated with Sb+ single ions and Sb2+ and Sb3+ molecular ions to low doses (≤ 1016 ions m-2). Three different ion energies were employed (

UiO‐66 metal–organic frameworks in biomedicine: From structural tunability to bioimaging, photodiagnostics, and photodynamic cancer therapy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UiO‐66(Zr) metal–organic frameworks are chemically stable, biocompatible, and highly tunable nanomaterials. Their modular structure enables controlled drug delivery, multimodal bioimaging, and light‐activated photodynamic therapy, supporting integrated diagnostic and therapeutic (theranostic) applications in cancer and biomedical research.

Irradiation Effect of Argon Ion on Interfacial Structure Fe(2nm)/Si(tsi=0.5-2 nm) Multilayer thin Film

open access: yesAtom Indonesia, 2010
Investigation includes formation of interfacial structure of Fe(2nm)/Si(tSi= 0.5-2 nm) multilayer thin film and the behavior of antiferromagnetic coupling between Fe layers due to Argon ion irradiation was investigated.

Irradiation-induced Ag nanocluster nucleation in silicate glasses: analogy with photography

open access: yes, 2007
The synthesis of Ag nanoclusters in sodalime silicate glasses and silica was studied by optical absorption (OA) and electron spin resonance (ESR) experiments under both low (gamma-ray) and high (MeV ion) deposited energy density irradiation conditions ...

Ion irradiation of metallic glasses

open access: yesActa Physica Sinica, 2017
Metallic glasses (MGs), as new disordered materials prepared by rapidly quenching melted alloys, have attracted tremendous attention in the material science community. Due to their long-ranged disorderd and short-ranged ordered structures, MGs usually exhibit uniquely physical, chemical and mechanical properties, which give rise to promising ...
