Modification of the Stability Regions in Stretched Paul Ion Trap by Damping Force [PDF]

open access: yesمجله علوم و فنون هسته‌ای, 2017
With the change of an ion trap geometrical shape, ring and end-cap electrodes, and also damping force effects, the first and second stability regions are studied in a stretched Paul ion trap.

Thermometry in a Multipole Ion Trap

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
We present a characterization of the ions’ translational energy distribution in a multipole ion trap. A linear mapping between the energy distribution of the trapped ions onto the ions’ time-of-flight (TOF) to a detector is demonstrated.

Shortcuts to adiabaticity for an ion in a rotating radially-tight trap

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2016
We engineer the fast rotation of an effectively one-dimensional ion trap for a predetermined rotation angle and time, avoiding the final excitation of the trapped ion.

Stability study of intense hadron bunches in linear accelerators using a Paul ion trap

open access: yesPhysical Review Accelerators and Beams, 2022
The collective behavior of an ion cloud confined in a linear Paul trap is physically almost equivalent to that of a relativistic beam traveling in a particle accelerator.

Studies of thorium and ytterbium ion trap loading from laser ablation for gravity monitoring with nuclear clocks

open access: yes, 2020
Compact and robust ion traps for thorium are enabling technology for the next generation of atomic clocks based on a low-energy isomeric transition in the thorium-229 nucleus. We aim at a laser ablation loading of single triply ionized thorium in a radio-

Simulation and Calculation of Assembly Error of Linear Ion Trap

open access: yesZhipu Xuebao
As the core part of the portable mass spectrometers, the ion trap mass analyzer is equivalent to the "engine", which determines the analytical capability of the mass spectrometer.

Loading a Paul Trap: Densities, Capacities, and Scaling in the Saturation Regime

open access: yesAtoms, 2021
Providing ideal conditions for the study of ion-neutral collisions, we investigate here the properties of the saturated, steady state of a three-dimensional Paul trap, loaded from a magneto-optic trap.

Effects of collisional cooling on ion detection in a quadrupole ion trap mass spectrometer

open access: yes, 2011
The effects of collisional cooling on the storage and detection of ions in a quadrupole ion trap mass spectrometer are examined. Four parameters that affect the storage of ions are evaluated: the pressure of the buffer gas: the qz value which establishes

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Observation of self-ion-molecule reactions during collisionally activated dissociation in an ion-trap mass spectrometer

open access: yes, 2009
This paper describes the formation of protonated molecules ([M + H]+) and adduct ions by self-ion-molecule reactions (SIMR) during collisionally activated decomposition (CAD) of methyne addition ions ([M + CH]+) produced from chemical ionization (CI) or ...
