Synthetic Routes to Therapeutic Agents Via Masked Functionalities: From Orthogonal Peptide Crosslink to Photothermal Cancer Prodrug [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The theonellamides are a family of compounds distinguished by their crosslinking ô-histidinoalanine (ô-HAL) residue. Part one of this dissertation details the synthesis of an orthogonally protected ô-HAL building block that will be incorporated into a ...

Single‐ and Dual‐Atom Configurations in Atomically Dispersed Catalysts for Lithium–Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Single‐atom and dual‐atom‐based atomically dispersed catalysts (ADCs) effectively address the shuttle effect and sluggish redox kinetics in Li–S batteries. With nearly 100% atomic utilization and tunable coordination environments, ADCs enhance LiPSs adsorption, lower conversion barriers, and accelerate sulfur redox reactions.

Molecular Design of Highly Efficient Heavy‐Atom‐Free Near‐Infrared Cyanine Photosensitizers for Fluorescence Image‐Guided Photodynamic Therapy of Solid Tumors

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Highly efficient heavy‐atom‐free NIR photosensitizers based on a heptamethine cyanine platform were developed for image‐guided photodynamic therapy. Both in vitro and in vivo results revealed that the R820‐3 photosensitizer with a highly twisted molecular structure exhibited potential for NIR fluorescence image‐guided photodynamic cancer therapy ...

Identification of restorers and maintainers for CMS lines of rice (Oryza sativa L.) under shallow low land condition. [PDF]

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Plant Breeding, 2010
Based on the pollen fertility (%) and spikelet fertility (%), ten genotypes were identified as potential restorers. Among thegenotypes RPHR 203-3 and R 1216-6 have been identified as potential restorers for all three lines (CRMS 31A, CRMS 32Aand IR ...
