Sub-monolayers of iridium electrodeposited on Ti2AlC substrate as catalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction in sulfuric acid solution

open access: yesZaštita Materijala, 2020
The hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) was investigated at sub-monolayers of iridium electrodeposited on Ti2AlC substrate. The lowest amount of electrodeposited iridium was 3 close-packed (111) monolayers (3 ML), while the highest one was 22 ML (3, 5, 10,

Exploiting atomic layer deposition for fabricating sub-10 nm X-ray lenses

open access: yes, 2018
Moving towards significantly smaller nanostructures, direct structuring techniques such as electron beam lithography approach fundamental limitations in feature size and aspect ratios.

Processing of Iridium and Iridium Alloys

open access: yesPlatinum Metals Review, 2008
Iridium and its alloys have been considered to be difficult to fabricate due to their high melting temperatures, limited ductility, sensitivity to impurity content and particular chemical properties. The variety of processing methods used for iridium and its alloys are reviewed, including purification, melting, forming, joining and powder metallurgy ...

Multiband $d-p$ model and self-doping in the electronic structure of Ba$_2$IrO$_4$

open access: yes, 2016
We introduce and investigate the multiband $d-p$ model describing a IrO$_4$ layer (such as realized in Ba$_2$IrO$_4$) where all $34$ orbitals per unit cell are partly occupied, i.e., $t_{2g}$ and $e_g$ orbitals at iridium and $2p$ orbitals at oxygen ions.

Solar abundance of iridium [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 1976
By a method of spectrum synthesis, which yields log gfA , where g is the statistical weight of the lower level, f is the oscillator strength, and A is the abundance, an attempt is made to deduce the solar iridium abundance from one relatively ...

Multidimensional OMICs reveal ARID1A orchestrated control of DNA damage, splicing, and cell cycle in normal‐like and malignant urothelial cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the frequently mutated chromatin remodeler ARID1A, a subunit of the SWI/SNF cBAF complex, results in less open chromatin, alternative splicing, and the failure to stop cells from progressing through the cell cycle after DNA damage in bladder (cancer) cells. Created in BioRender. Epigenetic regulators, such as the SWI/SNF complex, with important

High-temperature oxidation and erosion-resistant refractory coatings [PDF]

open access: yes, 1970
Various refractory coating systems were evaluated for rocket nozzle applications by actual rocket test firings. A reference is noted which identifies failure mechanisms and gives results of the firing tests for 18 coating systems.

In vitro properties of patient serum predict clinical outcome after high dose rate brachytherapy of hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Following high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR‐BT) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), patients were classified as responders and nonresponders. Post‐therapy serum induced increased BrdU incorporation and Cyclin E expression of Huh7 and HepG2 cells in nonresponders, but decreased levels in responders.

Analysis of iridium-augmented GPS positioning performance

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
Although the global positioning system (GPS) has a series of advantages such as global and high precision, there are still many deficiencies, in many cases, GSP cannot meet the requirements of the positioning accuracy.

In-Ir (Indium-Iridium) [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Phase Equilibria, 2000
The In-Ir phase diagram was unknown in [Massalski2]. A partial phase diagram up to 50 at.% Ir was reported by [2000Anr] (see [2001Oka]). Two compounds, In3Ir and In2Ir, were shown, but the liquidus boundaries were unknown except that for In3Ir. The work of [2000Anr] was updated by [2002Fla] based on x-ray diffraction, electron probe microanalysis, and ...
