Tre review presents a glossary of the iridoid glycosides, secoiridoids, bis-iridoids, and non-glycosidic iridoids. The following information is present for each compound, when available: structural formula, molecular formula, molecular weight, mp and [alpha]D values, uv, ir, 1H-nmr, 13C-nmr, and ms data, as well as mp and [alpha]D values for the ...

Iridoids from Mentzelia cordifolia
Phytochemistry, 1995Abstract From the aerial parts of Mentzelia cordifolia , 11 known compounds, seven phenolics and four iridoids have been identified. In addition, two new iridoids, i.e. mentzefoliol and glucosylmentzefoliol, have been isolated and characterized. Their structures have been elucidated mainly by means of spectroscopic data.

Iridoid and seco-iridoid glucosides from Chioccoca alba (Rubiaceae)
Phytochemistry, 1999Phytochemical investigation of Chioccoca alba afforded three new iridoids, alboside I, alboside II and alboside III, and a new seco-iridoid alboside V. Alboside IV showed moderate activity towards the DNA repair-deficient mutant RS321 of Saccharomyces cerevisiae.

Iridoids From Loasa Acerifolia
Phytochemistry, 1998In the course of preliminary chemotaxonomic studies on Loasaceae from South and Central America, 30 species from 6 genera were screened by chromatographic means. From the aerial parts of Loasa acerifolia Dombey, the novel trimeric and dimeric iridoid glucosides acerifolioside and tricoloroside methyl ester, consisting of loganin and secoxyloganin ...

Iridoide, X: Stereospezifische Synthese von Iridoid‐α‐glucosiden
Chemische Berichte, 1978Iridoids, X: Stereospecific Synthesis of Iridoid‐α‐glucosidesTreatment of the iridoidaglycone 3 with 1,2‐anhydro‐α‐D‐glucopyranose triacetate (Brigls anhydride, 4) in the presence of a trace of boron trifluoride/ether led stereospecifically to the α‐glucosides 7, 8, and 9, with 38% yield. In an analogous reaction 10 was formed from 2.
