Ellagic acid potentiates RSL3‐induced ferroptosis in PANC‐1 by suppressing the Nrf2/HO‐1 antioxidant defense axis via p38 MAPK activation and Keap1 upregulation. In PDAC cells, constitutive Nrf2/HO‐1 signaling establishes a robust antioxidant shield (GPX4, HO‐1) that limits lipid ROS accumulation and confers ferroptosis resistance.

Generation of the Camptothecin Scaffold by a Flavin‐Catalyzed Photooxidative Skeletal Reorganization
The biosynthetic pathway of the anticancer drug precursor camptothecin involves an enigmatic skeletal reorganization from a 6/5/6 tetrahydro‐β‐carboline to a 6/6/5 pyrroloquinoline ring system. Here, we show that this transformation can be achieved by photooxidation with flavin cofactors, such as flavin mononucleotide (FMN) as catalysts.

Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge. We previously showed that camptothecin induces ubiquitin–proteasome pathway (UPP)‐mediated topoI degradation.

Renal function as a predictor of irinotecan-induced neutropenia
Although approximately half of the administered dose of irinotecan is recovered in urine, scarce data are available on the association of renal function with irinotecan pharmacokinetics and toxicity.
