Intratumoral Microbiota in Tumor: Current Understandings and Future Perspectives

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 7, July 2026.
Intratumoral bacteria are emerging as active regulators of cancer evolution rather than bystanders. This review outlines how tumor‐resident microbes drive tumor initiation and growth by inducing genomic instability, epigenetic reprogramming, oncogenic signaling, and chronic inflammation, while promoting metastatic spread via invasion, angiogenesis ...

Dynamics of Circulating Tumor DNA (ctDNA) Predict Treatment Efficacy and Prognosis in Patients With Advanced Pancreatic Cancer: A Prospective Large‐Cohort Study

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 7, July 2026.
A total of 127 advanced pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) patients receiving first‐line therapy were enrolled in this study. A series of peripheral blood collected before the initiation of treatment (B1), at the first response assessment (B2), and at subsequent timepoints to perform high‐depth next‐generation sequencing.

Endobronchial Metastasis From Osteosarcoma in an Adolescent: A Rare Case Report

open access: yesThoracic Cancer, Volume 17, Issue 14, July 2026.
Endobronchial metastasis from osteosarcoma is rare. This case of a 14‐year‐old female with tibial osteosarcoma demonstrates an atypical metastatic pathway to the bronchus. She developed respiratory symptoms 13 months after initial treatment, and subsequent bronchoscopic biopsies confirmed endobronchial metastasis.

Endoscopic Full‐Thickness Resection for Gastrointestinal Subepithelial and Epithelial Neoplasia: Current Status, Indications, and Technical and Oncological Challenges—A Multispecialty Perspective

open access: yesDigestive Endoscopy, Volume 38, Issue 7, July 2026.
In this review article, we summarized the current status of EFTR for SETs and discussed future clinical applications for epithelial neoplasms from oncological and technical perspectives. EFTR is clinically feasible for treating gastric SETs. Future investigations and technical innovations are required to expand the clinical indications for EFTR in ...

Active Helicobacter pylori Infection and Survival Outcomes in De Novo Metastatic Colorectal Cancer: A Retrospective Cohort Study

open access: yesHelicobacter, Volume 31, Issue 4, July/August 2026.
ABSTRACT Background The prognostic significance of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection in metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) remains uncertain. Most prior studies have focused on colorectal neoplasia risk and have relied on serological markers rather than assessment of active infection.
