Novel Amino Acid Changes Increase Phosphoenolpyruvate Carboxylase Output in planta

open access: yesPlant, Cell &Environment, Volume 49, Issue 11, Page 8306-8321, November 2026.
ABSTRACT Characterization of previously reported Arabidopsis mutants with increased aluminum (Al) resistance (alr) resulting from greater release of Al‐chelating malate identified three unique amino acid substitutions that each impacts PHOSPHOENOLPYRUVATE CARBOXYLASE 1, a key anaplerotic carbon fixation enzyme.

7-T MRI intratumoral susceptibility signals reflect biomarker status in gliomas

open access: yesEuropean Radiology Experimental
Objective To evaluate whether 7-T susceptibility-weighted imaging (SWI) can predict glioma’s histological grade, Ki-67 labeling index (LI), isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1) mutation, 1p/19q co-deletion, telomerase reverse transcriptase (TERT) promoter ...

Isocitrate dehydrogenase mutations as potential tumour agnostic targets

open access: yesEJC Supplements
The isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) family of proteins comprises three important metabolic enzymes that convert isocitrate to alpha ketoglutarate (α-KG) via oxidative decarboxylation.

Absence of R140Q mutation of isocitrate dehydrogenase 2 in gliomas and breast cancers

open access: yes, 2010
International audienceSomatic mutations of isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH)-1 and IDH2 proteins have been described in gliomas. The mutations target the R132 amino acid residue and the R172 residue in IDH1 and IDH2, respectively.

Spatiotemporal Dynamics of Cytosolic NADPH in Living Arabidopsis thaliana

open access: yesPlant, Cell &Environment, Volume 49, Issue 11, Page 9101-9116, November 2026.
ABSTRACT In plants, an adequate supply of Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH) in the cytosol is crucial for maintaining a variety of biosynthetic and antioxidant reactions. Cytosolic NADPH is mainly generated via four enzymatic pathways: NADP‐dependent malic dehydrogenase (NADP‐ME), cytosolic oxidative pentose phosphate pathway (cOPPP),

Unraveling the epigenetic code in cancer cell–tumor microenvironment crosstalk

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 20, Issue 10, Page 2510-2532, October 2026.
Epigenetic regulation is a key driver of cancer development and progression. Diverse epigenetic alterations in cancer cells and components of the tumor microenvironment (TME) orchestrate their communication through multiple mechanisms. We discuss how the epigenetic code coordinates bidirectional cancer cell–TME crosstalk to promote cancer progression ...

TET1 Inhibition Promotes Therapeutic Sensitivity in TP53‐Mutant GBM by Influencing Genome Fragility and Altering TAMs Biology

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 55, 5 October 2026.
In TP53mut GBM cells, reduced P53 function is associated with increased TET1 expression. Genetic or pharmacological inhibition of TET1 correlates with genome fragility, including DNA damage, cellular senescence, telomere shortening, and reactive oxygen species accumulation, which may contribute to increased efficacy of antitumor therapy.
