Factors Associated With Perceived Cognitive Dysfunction in Patients With Primary Brain Tumors: The Utility of the Neuro‐QoL Cognition Function Scale

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Primary brain tumor (PBT) patients commonly experience cognitive dysfunction. This study aims to describe the prevalence and factors associated with perceived cognitive function (PCF) in PBT patients enrolled in a natural history study (NCT02851706: Principal Investigator T. S. Armstrong).

Deepening the Understanding of Platelet‐Derived RNA as Biomarker for Glioblastoma Through GSEA, TDEA, and Elastic Net Regularization Analysis

open access: yesCancer Reports, Volume 9, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most aggressive form of primary brain cancer. Blood platelets have emerged as biomarkers where their RNA expression pattern indicates a tumor's presence. Our study aimed to characterize these patterns to identify biological processes associated with GBM and to evaluate their potential as a non‐invasive ...

Improved Method for Obtaining Patient‐Derived Glioblastoma Organoid and Primary Cells: A Generic and Simplified Approach for Intracranial Tumor With Minimized Input

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 10, October 2026.
An improved and simplified method enables the generation of primary tumor cells and tumoroids from the same tissue sample with minimal input, applicable universally to both intracranial and spinal tumors. Comparative analysis of drug screening results with patient follow‐up data allows for the assessment of individual drug sensitivity.

The prognostic impact and stability of Isocitrate dehydrogenase 2 mutation in adult patients with acute myeloid leukemia.

open access: yes, 2011
Although the clinical features of the Isocitrate dehydrogenase 2 (IDH2) mutation in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) have been characterized, its prognostic significance remains controversial and its stability has not been investigated.

METTL3 Increases Temozolomide Resistance in MGMT‐Negative Glioblastoma by Enhancing CBX5 mRNA Stability in an m6A‐IGF2BP2‐Dependent Manner

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 10, October 2026.
METTL3‐dependent m6A modification and IGF2BP2‐associated CBX5 mRNA stabilization help maintain CBX5 expression in MGMT‐negative glioblastoma. During temozolomide (TMZ) treatment, CBX5 contributes to ATM–RAD51‐associated signaling, limits persistent DNA damage and apoptosis, and thereby supports cell survival and TMZ resistance.

Integrating Multimodal MRI Habitat and Transformer‐Based Pathomics to Predict High‐Risk Molecular Subtypes and Explore Biological Mechanisms in Adult Diffuse Gliomas

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 10, October 2026.
Based on the 2021 WHO CNS5 guidelines, this study introduces an integrated high‐risk molecular classification for gliomas and constructs a predictive model by combining multimodal MRI habitat imaging, Transformer‐based WSI pathomics, and clinical information.
