The isocitrate dehydrogenase gene of oleaginous yeast Lipomyces starkeyi is linked to lipid accumulation

open access: yes, 2009
The oleaginous yeast Lipomyces starkeyi can accumulate intracellular lipids to over 60% of its cell dry mass under a nitrogen-limited condition. We showed that extracellular and intracellular citrate concentrations of L.

IDH2 (isocitrate dehydrogenase 2 (NADP+), mitochondrial) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Human Isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) occurs in three isozymes, IDH1, located in the cytoplasm, and IDH2 and IDH3 located in the mitochondria. IDH functions as part of the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle and catalyzes the reversible conversion of ...

Complement receptor C3aR marks heterogeneous tumor‐associated macrophage states associated with improved survival in IDH‐wildtype glioblastoma

open access: yesBrain Pathology, EarlyView.
C3aR expression in IDH‐wildtype glioblastoma is predominantly associated with the myeloid/macrophage compartment and heterogeneous macrophage states. C3aR‐high tumors are enriched among MGMT promoter‐methylated tumors and show improved overall survival, although the prognostic association requires independent validation.

PTEN homozygous deletion is a negative prognostic factor in tumor treating fields‐treated glioblastoma, IDH wildtype patients

open access: yesBrain Pathology, EarlyView.
In a molecularly confirmed cohort of 64 newly diagnosed, TTFields‐treated glioblastomas, IDH‐wildtype, homozygous PTEN deletion was associated with markedly shorter overall survival (368 vs. 603 days) and remained an independent adverse prognostic factor.

Triggering SORL1 Expression Restricts ccRCC Progression by Inducing Ubiquitination‐Mediated c‐Myc Degradation

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
Targeted triggering of SORL1 expression through a novel MPOC delivery system could inhibit ccRCC progression through binding to TRIM22 and further promoting ubiquitination‐mediated C‐MYC degradation, thereby facilitating the inhibition of oxidative phosphorylation through transcriptional repression of ACO2 and IDH2.

Unraveling Burden of Isocitrate Dehydrogenase Mutations in AcuteMyeloid Leukemia; Clinico-Hematological Correlation and PrognosticRelevance

open access: yesAnnals of Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and Karachi Medical & Dental College
Objective: Mutations in isocitrate dehydrogenases 1 and 2 (IDH1/2) genes are among the frequent epigenetic alterations of acute myeloid leukemia (AML).

Isocitrate dehydrogenase 1R132H mutation in microglia/macrophages in gliomas: Indication of a significant role of microglia/macrophages in glial tumorigenesis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Somatic mutation of Isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1) at the locus of R132 (IDH1R132H) occurs in > 70% of WHO grades II-III gliomas and secondary glioblastomas.

Research progress of IDH1 and IDH2 mutations in gliomas

open access: yesChinese Journal of Contemporary Neurology and Neurosurgery, 2015
The gene mutations of isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 and 2 (IDH1/2) mainly occur in astrocytoma, anaplastic astrocytoma, oligodendroglioma, anaplastic oligodendroglioma, oligoastrocytoma, anaplastic oligoastrocytoma and secondary glioblastoma.

Common pathways and outliers in glucose catabolism across Trypanosomatidae

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
Trypanosomatid parasites, including Trypanosoma sp., Leishmania sp., Phytomonas sp., and Vickermania sp., share a common motif: a metabolism built around the glycosome, a unique peroxisome‐derived organelle housing the first steps of glycolysis. Yet, these organisms have evolved remarkably diverse strategies to catabolize glucose, excreting distinct ...
