Interstellar Detection of Methyl Isocyanate CH$_3$NCO in Sgr B2(N): A Link from Molecular Clouds to Comets [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
A new interstellar molecule, CH$_3$NCO (methyl isocyanate), has been detected using the 12 m telescope of the Arizona Radio Observatory (ARO). CH$_3$NCO was identified in spectra covering 48 GHz (68-116 GHz) in the 3 mm segment of a broadband survey of Sgr B2(N).

The role of isocyanates in fire toxicity

open access: yes, 2016
Isocyanates are a group of low molecular weight, highly reactive compounds with a functional isocyanate group. The main human exposure route is via inhalation of airborne isocyanates, although dermal exposure has also been reported.

Investigation of the Impact of Hydrolytically Cleavable Groups on the Stability of Poly(ethylene glycol) Based Hydrogels Cross‐Linked via the Inverse Electron Demand Diels–Alder (iEDDA) Reaction

open access: yesMacromolecular Bioscience, Volume 22, Issue 12, December 2022., 2022
To accelerate biodegradation of stable poly(ethylene glycol)‐based hydrogels cross‐linked via the rapid inverse electron demand Diels–Alder reaction between norbornene and tetrazine groups, 3,6‐epoxy‐1,2,3,6‐tetrahydrophthalimide, phenyl carbamate, carbonate ester, and phenyl carbonate ester are synthesized into the hydrogel backbone.
