THE ISOELECTRIC POINT OF GELATIN AT 40°C

open access: yesThe Journal of General Physiology, 1924
Measurements have been made at 40°C. of the osmotic pressure and viscosity of 1 per cent gelatin solutions containing varying amounts of hydrochloric acid or sodium hydroxide. Each property was found to exhibit a decided minimum near pH 4.7.

Sampling Strategy: An Overlooked Factor Affecting Artificial Intelligence Prediction Accuracy of Peptides’ Physicochemical Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
This study reveals that sampling strategy (i.e., sampling size and approach) is a foundational prerequisite for building accurate and generalizable AI models in peptide discovery. Reaching a threshold of 7.5% of the total tetrapeptide sequence space was essential to ensure reliable predictions.

Overexpression of mitofusin 2 ameliorates inflammation and oxidative stress in lipopolysaccharide‐induced mastitis model by regulating phosphofurin acidic cluster sorting protein 2

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
The interaction between mitofusin 2 (MFN2) and phosphofurin acidic cluster sorting protein 2 regulates the formation of mitochondria‐associated endoplasmic reticulum membranes (MAM). Overexpression of MFN2 can promote the formation of MAMs and inhibit inflammation and oxidative stress response in mammary epithelial cells.

Isoelectric points of human platelets.

open access: yesBlood & Vessel, 1986
A characterization of the platelets treated with sodium citrate has been made by isoelectric equilibrium analysis. Isoelectric focusing was carried out in a 50-ml column fitted with platinum electrodes. An aliquot of 1-5×108 platelets were focused at 0-1°C for 4 hours by post-pH equilibrium loading of the platelets in a sucrose linear gradients (0-50%)

Nanofluidic Proteomic Immunoassay

open access: yesBio-Protocol, 2015
Nanofluidic proteomic immunoassay (NIA), consisting of isoelectric focusing followed by sensitive chemiluminescence detection, has the potential to quantitatively characterize protein post-translational modifications that cause shifts in isoelectric ...

Isolation and characterization of the fatty acid binding protein from human heart.

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1990
We have isolated in pure form a fatty acid binding protein (FABP) from human cardiac muscle. After preparation of a 100,000 g supernatant fraction, the procedure required only one gel chromatographic (Sephacryl S 200) and two cation exchange (CM-Sephadex

A Multiepitope‐Based Lateral Flow Assay for Leprosy Antibodies

open access: yesAnalysis &Sensing, EarlyView.
An innovative lateral flow assay for leprosy diagnosis is based on gold nanoparticles and synthetic Mycobacterium leprae epitopes conjugated to keyhole limpet hemocyanin protein to enhance antibody detection. This strategy provides a rapid, accurate, and low‐cost approach for resource‐limited settings, enabling the early detection of infection. Leprosy
