Observation of Catalytic Variability of Single Enzyme Zeolitic Imidazole Framework‐8 Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 13, Issue 1, 7 January 2026.
A microwell‐based fluorescence method characterizes the catalytic activity of single enzyme zeolitic imidazole framework‐8 (ZIF‐8) nanoparticles (NPs). Horseradish peroxidase (HRP) and bovine serum albumin (BSA) are loaded into ZIF‐8 NPs and reveal subpopulations of catalytic activity at single‐particle resolution.

Enrichment of Hypermethylated DNA on Chip for Cervical Cancer Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 13, Issue 1, 7 January 2026.
A microfluidic chip coated with surface‐immobilized methyl binding domain 2 (MBD‐2) protein receptors, is able to bind hypermethylated DNA (hmDNA) from a cancer cell line selectively. Quantification by quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) shows a 30‐fold enrichment in cervical cancer target DNA.

Boosting Nanofiltration Membrane Selectivity via Amine‐Polymer Additive Engineering for Efficient Lithium Extraction From Brine

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 3, 14 January 2026.
A diffusion‐controlled interfacial polymerization strategy incorporating poly(allylamine) (PAA) into piperazine (PIP) solution enables precise tuning of amine monomer diffusion and polyamide (PA) network formation with trimesoyl chloride (TMC). The resulting nanofiltration membranes exhibit crumpled morphology, appropriate surface charge, and enhanced ...

Next‐generation Alzheimer's therapeutics: target assessment and enablement at the Indiana University School of Medicine–Purdue University TREAT‐AD Center

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 22, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract The incidence of Alzheimer's disease (AD) continues to increase, despite decades of effort to develop disease‐modifying therapies. In response, the National Institute on Aging (NIA) established the TaRget Enablement to Accelerate Therapy Development for Alzheimer's Disease (TREAT‐AD) centers to address the gap between basic research and ...
