Delivery of Pleckstrin‐Homology Domains Suppresses PI3K/Akt Signaling and Breast Cancer Metastasis
Current therapies curb tumor growth but not metastasis. Obscurin, a giant metastasis suppressor lost in breast cancer, restrains PI3K/Akt signaling but is impractical to restore. We deploy a mini‐obscurin, comprising the obscurin‐PH‐domain, which sequesters PI3K‐p85, potently suppressing invasion and metastasis.

Recent Trends in Metabolomics by NMR Spectroscopy
AI tools were applied to analyze more than 5 000 publications indexed in Scopus (2018–2025), identifying key trends and research directions in NMR‐based metabolomics. The artificial intelligence‐assisted workflow classified papers into six main fields of application, human health, food and nutrition, veterinary science, plants, environment, and ...

N-(β-Carboxyethyl)-α-isoleucine [PDF]
The title compound, {2-[(2-carbamoylethyl)amino]-3-methylpentanoic acid}, C9H18N2O3, is of interest with respect to its biological activity. It was formed during an addition reaction between acrylamide and the amino acid isoleucine. The crystal structure is a three-dimensional network built up by intermolecular N—H...O and O—H...N hydrogen bonds.

ABSTRACT Triple‐negative breast cancer (TNBC) exhibits addiction to chronic endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress, which sustains an aggressive metastatic phenotype through activation of the unfolded protein response (UPR). Here, we identify a previously unrecognized “ER‐stress addiction” axis in which the Hippo pathway effector TEAD4 directly ...

Discovery of a Plant Pictet–Spenglerase With R‐Stereoselectivity
Strictosidine synthases (STRs) are plant Pictet–Spenglerases catalyzing the coupling of a secoiridoid with tryptamine. All previously characterized strictosidine synthases are strictly S‐selective. Here, we report the discovery of Epi‐STR, an R‐selective STR ortholog from the medicinal plant Pogonopus speciosus.

Discovery of a family of γ-aminobutyrate ureas via rational derepression of a silent bacterial gene cluster [PDF]
Gaburedins, a family of γ-aminobutyrate (GABA)-derived ureas, have been discovered by deletion of gbnR, an arpA-like putative transcriptional repressor in Streptomyces venezuelae ATCC 10712.

The 10B‐enriched monocarbonyl analog of curcumin (BMAC) 10B‐9 enables site‐specific Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT) on amyloid‐β (Aβ) fibrils. Neutron irradiation induces histidine oxidation and fibril destabilization, as revealed by 1H‐NMR and FESEM analyses.

Effects of dietary long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids on plasma amino acids and indices of protein metabolism in infants: Results from a randomized clinical trial [PDF]
Background/Aim: Previous studies in vitro and in animals in vivo found that alpha-linolenic acid (C18:3 omega 3) may enhance oxidative damage of essential amino acids.

Multidrug‐resistant Vibrio infections are rising rapidly and threaten coastal populations worldwide. This study introduces D‐zp37, a chirality‐engineered antimicrobial peptide with exceptional potency against resistant Vibrio species. D‐zp37 kills planktonic cells, blocks mixed‐species biofilms, disrupts essential bacterial stress responses, and shows ...

Effect of Intravenous L-Isoleucine Infusion upon Concentration of Free Isoleucine in Milk
The growth of Streptococcus agalactiae in milk is inhibited by elevated free isoleucine. Free amino acid concentrations in both plasma and milk from three lactating dairy cows were studied after intravenous infusions of L-isoleucine at 62, 300, 380, and 840 mumol/kg of body weight. Free isoleucine was lower in milk than in plasma.
