Functional annotation of human parvovirus b19 proteome and Molecular docking of VP1 protein with Teniposide [PDF]
Parvovirus B19 is a common source of infection with a seroprevalence of 60-70% in the adult population. Human parvovirus causes several distinct clinical syndromes such as erythema, polyarthritis resembling rheumatoid arthritis, vasculitis, hydrops ...

Systematically Engineering for Efficient Production of 3‐Methyl‐1‐Butanol in Escherichia coli
An integrated metabolic engineering strategy was established for high‐level 3‐methyl‐1‐butanol biosynthesis in Escherichia coli. Molecular dynamics‐guided semi‐rational engineering of dihydroxyacid dehydratase uncovered and relieved key catalytic bottlenecks, while adaptive laboratory evolution enhanced strain robustness.

The Multiple Roles of Peptidyl Prolyl Isomerases in Brain Cancer
Peptidyl prolyl isomerases (PPIases) are broadly expressed enzymes that accelerate the cis-trans isomerization of proline peptide bonds. The most extensively studied PPIase family member is protein interacting with never in mitosis A1 (PIN1), which ...

Effects of pH and Concentrations of Linoleic and Linolenic Acids on Extent and Intermediates of Ruminal Biohydrogenation in Vitro [PDF]
Three experiments were conducted by in vitro incubations in ruminal fluid to investigate the effects of pH and amounts of linoleic and linolenic acids on the extent of their biohydrogenation, the proportions of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) and trans ...

Understanding protein sequence–function relationships remains challenging due to poorly defined motifs and limited residue‐level annotations. An annotation‐agnostic framework is introduced that segments protein sequences into “protein words” using attention patterns from protein language models.

PROTEIN BIOTECHNOLOGY: THE SIGNIFICANCE AND USE OF INDUSTRIAL POLYMER-DEGRADING ENZYMES [PDF]
Microorganisms are the primary source of industrial enzymes, with Bacillus and Aspergillus species being the leading producers. Bacillus strains have historically been used to synthesize commercially significant enzymes due to their status as GRAS ...

Molecular characterization of cyclophilin A-like protein from Piriformospora indica for its potential role to abiotic stress tolerance in E. coli [PDF]
BACKGROUND: Cyclophilins (CyP), conserved in all genera, are known to have regulatory responses of various cellular processes including stress tolerance. Interestingly, CyP has a crucial role as peptidyl-prolyl cis–trans isomerases (PPIases). Our earlier

Introduction to protein folding for physicists [PDF]
The prediction of the three-dimensional native structure of proteins from the knowledge of their amino acid sequence, known as the protein folding problem, is one of the most important yet unsolved issues of modern science.

AS‐pHopt: An Optimal pH Prediction Model Enhanced by Active Site of Enzymes
To address the low accuracy of enzyme optimal pH (pHopt) prediction, this study develops active site‐based pHopt (AS‐pHopt), a prediction model enhanced by active site information and pseudo‐label prediction. Integrating key structural and physicochemical features affecting enzyme pHopt, AS‐pHopt uses Evolutionary Scale Modeling (ESM)‐2 with active ...
