Rotational Isomers of Diphenhydramine

open access: yesYAKUGAKU ZASSHI, 2018
Diphenhydramine (DP), an antihistaminic agent, may become colored and daker or more fluorescent during storage. Herein, we spectroscopically examined the causes of this phenomenon under various DP storage conditions and durations. The infrared vibration-rotation spectrum shows multiple Gauche (G)-type conformers with different intramolecular n→π ...

The interstellar chemistry of H2C3O isomers [PDF]

open access: yesMonthly notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, 2015
We present the detection of two H2C3O isomers, propynal and cyclopropenone, toward various starless cores and molecular clouds, together with upper limits for the third isomer propadienone.

Light Switchable Ionic Conductivity of Arylazopyrazole Modified Polysiloxanes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
We present a polysiloxane functionalized with a novel arylazopyrazole dye that undergoes reversible photoisomerization. Upon lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide addition and UV irradiation, the polymer exhibits a shift in tan(d) toward higher frequencies and enhanced ionic conductivity.

Analytical Challenges in the Separation and Identification of Ten Substituted Cathinone Isomers (C12H17NO) Using EI-GC-MS and ESI-LC-MS/MS

open access: yesChemosensors
Synthetic cathinones are among the most frequently encountered classes of new psychoactive substances, and many occur as structural isomers sharing identical molecular formulas and highly similar mass-spectral features. Among them, substituted cathinones

Stereoisomers of Colourless Carotenoids from the Marine Microalga Dunaliella salina

open access: yesMolecules, 2020
Carotenoids comprise a diverse range of naturally occurring stereoisomers, which differ in their physico-chemical properties. Their biosynthesis begins with phytoene, which is a rarity among carotenoids because it is colourless.

Understanding Interfacial Photoswitching Mechanisms in Atomically‐Thin TMD‐Spiropyran Hybrids

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Photochromic molecules can effectively modulate the optoelectronic properties of atomically thin transition metal dichalcogenide semiconductors. Spiropyran that switches its chemical configuration upon alternating UV and visible irradiation enables light‐programmable optoelectronic devices.

Mitigating Efficiency Roll‐Off in Phosphor‐Sensitized Fluorescence OLEDs via Molecular Polarity‐Based Benzofuropyridine Host Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Positional isomerism in dibenzofuran‐based n‐type hosts modulates molecular polarity, charge‐transport balance, and emissive‐layer packing. The higher‐polarity BFPDB‐2 host facilitates efficient energy funneling, reduced aggregation, and preferential dipole orientation, leading to phosphor‐sensitized fluorescence OLEDs with enhanced external quantum ...

Targeting Lactate and Lactylation in Cancer Metabolism and Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lactate, once deemed a metabolic waste, emerges as a central regulator of cancer progression. This review elucidates how lactate and its epigenetic derivative, protein lactylation, orchestrate tumor metabolism, immune suppression, and therapeutic resistance.

Biological production of CLA and investigation of anticarcinogenic activity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
This study investigated a potential mechanism of action underlying the anticancer activity of conjugated lmoleic acid (CLA), referring to a mixture of positional and geometric conjugated isomers of lmoleic acid Ras, an oncogene necessary for normal cell ...

A density functional theory study on the porphyrin isomers: Effect of meso-bridge length, relative stabilities, cis-trans isomerism

open access: yes, 2005
B3LYP/6-311+G** calculations are employed to study the structures, stabilities of 1,2 (syn) and the 1,3 (anti) tautomeric forms of porphyrin isomers with varying meso-bridge lengths.
