A Simple Micellar Gold Catalyst Supported by a Hydrophilic Phosphinoferrocene Amidosulfonate Ligand

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, EarlyView.
A phosphinoferrocene amidosulfonate and its chlorogold complex form micelles in water. The complex can be used as a self‐activating Au catalyst, as demonstrated for the model cyclization of N‐propargyl benzamide into 4,5‐dihydro‐5‐methylene‐2‐phenyloxazole.

Effects of Ring Strain on Molecular Dynamics of Sterically Hindered 4,7‐Phenanthroline Unit

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
A sterically hindered 1,10‐diphenyl‐4,7‐phenanthroline derivative is synthesized via the Povarov reaction and incorporated into a cyclic conjugated structure via a gold macrocyclic complex to evaluate effects of ring strain on molecular dynamics of the 4,7−phenanthroline moieties.

Flow Rate Determination of the Nanoflow Sheath Liquid CE–MS‐Coupling Applying the nanoCEasy Interface

open access: yesELECTROPHORESIS, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In recent years, nanoflow sheath liquid (nanoSL) interfaces have been used more commonly for capillary electrophoresis–mass spectrometry (CE–MS) coupling due to their high sensitivity combined with flexibility in CE separation conditions. So far, the exact amount of sheath liquid (SL) and, thus, the dilution effect remain unknown due to the ...
